Best NBA Betting Player Props for Tonight, 3/2

All NBA betting player props odds are taken from BetOnline Sportsbook

Alec Burks Over 11.5 Points (-114)

With the New York Knicks relegating Kemba Walker to the pine for the remainder of the season, a healthy number of additional minutes suddenly became available after the All-Star break. Alec Burks has been one of the players to see a bump in playing time as a result of the move. The 34-year-old has logged 34 minutes in each of the Knicks’ first two games following the break. Although he didn’t necessarily light up the scoreboard in either contest, a 12-point effort on Friday night was enough for Burks to eclipse tonight’s NBA player props total of 11.5.

Compared to Burks’ per-game scoring average so far this season, the NBA betting line does sit over half a point higher. However, keep in mind that playing time does play a factor here. Overall, Burks has actually played less than 27 minutes per game this season. With Walker now out of the lineup, he is all but guaranteed for at least 30 a night from here on out. Given that he shoots better than 38% from beyond the arc, Burks also doesn’t necessarily need to jack up a ton of shots in order to exceed this NBA props total.

Devonte’ Graham Under 11.5 Points (-124)

No one can deny that the acquisition of C.J. McCollum at the trade deadline provided a major boost to the current New Orleans Pelicans roster. One player who has been negatively impacted by the deal, however, is Devonte’ Graham. With McCollum now handling lead point guard duties, Graham’s playing time has taken a significant hit. On the season overall, the 27-year-old has averaged over 30 minutes per contest. Well, Graham has played no more than 26 minutes in any of the Pelicans’ last six games since McCollum joined the team. Given the drop in playing time, it makes sense to look under Graham’s NBA player props scoring total this evening.

Coming into Wednesday’s contest, Graham has posted a season average of 12.9 points per game. While this is over one point higher than today’s NBA betting line of 11.5, remember that the vast majority of games have seen him lead New Orleans in minutes at the PG position. While Graham has been able to slip over this NBA picks total with 12 points in two of the last three games, it took him shooting 50% or better to do so. Even though tonight’s opponent, the Sacramento Kings, leave plenty to be desired defensively, Graham will be facing an uphill battle as far as volume of opportunity when it comes to eclipsing his scoring prop.

Cameron Johnson Under 5.5 Rebounds (-136)

With Chris Paul sidelined coming out of the All-Star break, the Phoenix Suns have had to diversify their backcourt minutes. That will be even more so the case tonight after a stunning development went down early Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, “health and safety protocols” are still a thing. Who knew? At any rate, Devin Booker is set to miss tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers at a minimum. Thus, players like Cameron Johnson will be in line for a healthy amount of playing time. Even so, bettors are still advised to target the under on Johnson’s NBA player props rebounding total.

Of course, the Suns have already played three games without CP3 following the All-Star break. Although Johnson has seen no fewer than 29 minutes in each contest, he has yet to finish with any more than four rebounds. A per-game average of 4.1 boards suggests that the 25-year-old would need to exceed his usual production by nearly two full rebounds in order to clear tonight’s NBA betting line of 5.5. Given that the two key absences for the Suns are not the team’s primary rebounders, this scenario seems highly unlikely of occurring.
