Two more NBA Postseason games are scheduled for Wednesday night. First up, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will aim to close out their series against the Chicago Bulls. The late game will feature the Golden State Warriors trying to do the same in their First Round series against the Denver Nuggets. With both games tonight featuring a hefty favorite, some may be inclined to look beyond the traditional game lines when making their NBA betting picks. The player props market remains a solid option as it has all season long. The following article offers three of the best NBA player prop bets for the April 27th postseason action.

Best NBA Betting Player Props for Tonight, 4/27

Nikola Vucevic UNDER 2.5 Three-Pointers (-150)

It goes without saying that the Chicago Bulls will be shorthanded as they try to stave off elimination in Game 5 tonight. Both Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso will join Lonzo Ball in street clothes this evening. Yet, aside from the potential for increased shooting volume, there really is not much pointing towards the ability of Bulls center Nikola Vucevic to exceed the NBA player props line of 2.5 made three-pointers.

Vucevic has actually attempted no fewer than six triples in any game so far this series. However, he has only surpassed this prop total twice thus far. On the season as a whole, Vucevic shot just 31% from beyond the arc. Thus, resorting to having their veteran center jack three’s is hardly the ideal shot that the Bulls should be striving for.

With a blowout quite possible in tonight’s game, evidenced by a lopsided NBA betting picks point spread of 12.5 points favoring the Milwaukee Bucks, one could also speculate as to how much Vucevic will even play down the stretch. While the Bucks weren’t the best defensive team in the league this season, they sure have proven that they can clamp down when necessary in this series. Combining this with the fact that Vucevic simply isn’t a good shooter from deep and more than two triples is a lot to ask.

Bones Hyland OVER 2.5 Assists (-167)

The Denver Nuggets continue to desperately search for contributions on the offensive end to complement reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. While rookie guard Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland doesn’t command a huge allotment of minutes on a nightly basis, he sure knows how to make the most of his time on the floor. Hyland played a series-high 20 minutes in the Nuggets’ Game 4 victory. He scored 15 points, dished out seven assists and even made an impact on the glass with four rebounds.

When it comes to the available NBA player props for the 21-year-old rookie in Game 5, playing over 2.5 assists is the most appealing. On the full season, Hyland distributed an average of 2.7 helpers per game. In the Nuggets’ First Round series against the Golden State Warriors, he has had no fewer than three assists in three of the first four games. Going back even further, the former VCU standout has actually exceeded the NBA picks total in 15 of 17 games played since March 16th. The vast majority of those regular-season games saw Hyland finish with more than three assists as well.

While the Warriors present a stiff defensive test, the fact that Hyland is largely on the floor with the second-stringers ensures that he will have the ball in his hands often. One might also consider including the over on Hyland’s scoring total among their NBA betting selections, especially if laying -167 juice is deemed undesirable.

Jordan Poole OVER 4.5 Assists (+112)

Warriors guard Jordan Poole had what was easily his worst shooting performance of the postseason thus far in Game 4. Yet, the 22-year-old still managed to have a tremendous impact on the game whilst playing 39 minutes. Poole may have only scored 11 points on Sunday, but he also doled out a playoff-high nine assists.

On the season overall, the 22-year-old averaged exactly 4.0 helpers per game. While this is notably half an assist lower than tonight’s NBA player props line of 4.5, keep in mind that Poole was hardly the fixture in Golden State’s lineup early on in the season that he is now. With Stephen Curry sidelined late in the regular season, Poole was able to showcase his scoring and playmaking abilities even more.

Dating back to March 30th and including the four playoff games so far (with Curry back in the fold), Poole has successfully eclipsed tonight’s NBA betting picks assist total in seven of the last ten games. He has also been very consistent in terms of his floor, with no less than three assists in any game over that same span. That sort of consistency bears even more weight when one considers the plus-money price listed on the over for this prop. The possibility of a greater return serves to amplify the value of this prediction.
