Best NBA Betting Player Props for Tonight, 3/4

All NBA betting player props odds are taken from BetOnline Sportsbook

Tyrese Maxey Under 3.5 Assists (-159)

James Harden joining the Philadelphia 76ers certainly has not slowed down the scoring production of young Tyrese Maxey. With totals of 25, 21 and 28 points in the last three games, the 21-year-old continues to surprise many NBA betting analysts with his contributions to the team’s offense. Where Harden has impacted Maxey’s statistical outputs is in the assists column.

Prior to ‘The Running Beard’ joining the Sixers, Maxey was the team’s primary point guard. Such is no longer the case and his totals have declined as a result. In Philly’s three games since the All-Star break, he has dished no more than three assists. Meanwhile, Harden has finished with double-digit dimes twice and no fewer than nine over those three games.

If the past few games are any indication, Maxey figures to struggle to eclipse tonight’s NBA player props total of 3.5 assists. In addition to the changing roles and personnel on the 76ers roster, tonight’s game comes against a Cleveland Cavaliers team that sports a top-5 defensive efficiency ranking on the season. The NBA props market is juiced heavily towards the under and rightfully so. However, this should not deter bettors given the statistical edge.

Isaiah Roby Over 11.5 Points (-129)

The rotation for the Oklahoma City Thunder has made little to no sense all season long. Tonight, OKC will be lucky to have much of a rotation at all. This is because virtually everyone is ruled out for one reason or another.

The same scenario was true two nights ago when the Thunder managed to upset Denver on the road. Big man Isaiah Roby was among the five players heavily relied upon in that contest and he delivered. Over the course of 35 minutes, Roby piled up a massive stat line which included 26 points, seven boards, five assists and a pair of steals and blocks.

With the Thunder lineup still decimated for tonight’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, there is good reason to believe Roby will have ample opportunity once again. While he will be hard-pressed to shoot 4-5 from three-point range again, Roby figures to have the playing time and shot attempts needed to finish comfortably in double figures once again. This leads to an NBA player props wager on the 24-year-old to exceed 11.5 points tonight.

Jaxson Hayes Over 11.5 Points (-109)

The acquisition of C.J. McCollum appears to have ignited a fire for the New Orleans Pelicans. The team is suddenly clicking on all cylinders and even beating some of the top teams in the Western Conference. Another lineup adjustment that appears to have paid dividends is starting Jaxson Hayes at power forward.

Hayes has certainly cashed in on his increased playing time recently. The 21-year-old has scored in double figures and cleared the NBA player props line of 11.5 points in four of the last six games. One contest saw him fall just short with 11 total points. The only other time he didn’t was also the only game in which he saw fewer than 20 minutes of action. Despite only seeing 17 minutes that night, Hayes still finished with nine points.

The Pelicans will get another crack at a contender tonight when they host the Utah Jazz. While Utah has been synonymous with playing stingy defense in recent seasons, the Jazz have actually not been nearly as strong on that end of the floor in 2021-22. An average of 107.1 points allowed per 100 possessions still ranks among the top-10 in defensive efficiency. Yet, it is not as high as Utah has been in past years. This certainly helps the outlook for taking Hayes to exceed 10.5 points amongst our NBA betting picks
