Best NBA Betting Player Props for Tonight, 3/25

All NBA betting player props odds are taken from BetOnline Sportsbook

Royce O’Neale Over 2.5 Assists (+118)

When it comes to finding NBA betting value, it’s important to keep in mind that the price of a particular NBA props offering is just as important as the line itself. One play on Friday’s menu that reflects this is the total assists prop for Utah Jazz forward Royce O’Neale. On the season, the 28-year-old has dished an average of 2.6 helpers per game. This average falls right in line with the NBA player props line of 2.5 for tonight’s game. However, the accompanying +118 odds help to boost the potential return and overall value of this over prediction.

When breaking down this handicap, one cannot dismiss O’Neale’s recent performances. Over the last ten games, he has surpassed this NBA picks total five times, good for a 50% rate. Furthermore, he has had at least two assists in each of those ten games. Thus, even when he hasn’t cashed the over, he has still been coming very close. The range of outcomes has been small which is a positive sign. In addition, the fact that the Jazz face one of the worst defensive teams in the league tonight in the Charlotte Hornets should only add to a bettor’s confidence.

Jarred Vanderbilt Over 7.5 Rebounds (-143)

Minnesota Timberwolves big man Jarred Vanderbilt has quietly been one of the team’s most impressive contributors this season. It was just two nights ago that the 22-year-old supplied a massive 12-point, 12-rebound double-double line. The fact that he did so in a modest 26 minutes of action makes the effort all the more impressive. While that game was the first in a while that Vanderbilt has scored in double figures, his rebounding production has held quite steady all season long.

Vanderbilt has finished with no less than eight boards in each of the last four games. On Monday against the same Dallas Mavericks team that Minnesota faces tonight, he still managed to corral eight total rebounds despite playing only 15 minutes. On the season overall, he is averaging 8.8 rebounds per game. This mark sits over one full board above tonight’s NBA player props total of 7.5. Knowing that the Mavs join the Timberwolves in being a sub-par rebounding team, one has to be bullish about Vanderbilt’s potential of going over the NBA player props line again in tonight’s matchup.

Kevin Porter Jr. Over 15.5 Points (-107)

It may not be the most appealing matchup on paper, but fans of offensive basketball may want to tune into the Houston Rockets’ matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. After all, these are the two worst defensive teams in the NBA. With a fast pace and plenty of offense expected, it makes sense to look at betting over the NBA player props total for Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr.

Although the current line of 15.5 points is over 1.5 higher than Porter’s per-game average of 13.9, there are multiple aspects working in his favor this evening. First and foremost, bettors can count on Porter to see ample minutes and shot attempts. While his shooting percentages have been streaky all season long, one has to believe that the 21-year-old can exploit the favorable matchup tonight. The Trail Blazers have surrendered 113.2 points per 100 possessions on the year and are literally deploying a backcourt of no-names down the stretch of the season.

It’s also worth pointing out that Porter has scored 11+ points in eight of the last ten games. Despite some poor shooting performances over that stretch, he continues to maintain enough volume to crack double figures. The favorable matchup should help bolster his output the rest of the way.
