After a couple days of league-wide chaos, the Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade wide receiver Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots. Cleveland announced their plan to release Josh Gordon on Saturday, which created a bidding war as teams attempted to acquire him before he hit the open market. As a vested veteran, Gordon would have become an unrestricted free agent instead of going on waivers. “For the past six years, the Browns have fully supported and invested in Josh, both personally and professionally, and wanted the best for him, but unfortunately we’ve reached a point where we feel it’s…

What the heck was week 1? Ryan Fitzpatrick is the frontrunner for MVP, the Browns broke a losing streak by not winning, and Aaron Rodgers rose from the dead in the third quarter to show everyone in the NFL who the best player is. To kick off week 2, we have an AFC North matchup between the two 1-0 teams: Ravens vs. Bengals. The Ravens completely embarrassed the Bills last week, winning 47-3 after going up by 40 points with 11 minutes left of the third quarter. Joe Flacco looked elite, finishing with a league-high adjusted completion percentage of 90.6%.…
The Washington Redskins faced little resistance in their 24-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in week 1. It was the debut of Alex Smith, Adrian Peterson and Paul Richardson, and the return of Jordan Reed, among several offensive linemen. While it’s sometimes easier to analyze when things go wrong, let’s take a second to do a Redskins fantasy football analysis from this victory. I will be including the snap counts and stats from all of the offensive skill position players. It’s important to make note up top that game flow without a doubt played a factor. After being up by…
What the heck was week 1? Ryan Fitzpatrick is the frontrunner for MVP, the Browns broke a losing streak by not winning, and Aaron Rodgers rose from the dead in the third quarter to show everyone in the NFL who the best player is. Unfortunately, injuries played a factor in deciding games, both in real life and fantasy alike. Hopefully you made it through with a win, but if not, let’s get back on track this week. Here’s my week 2 fantasy football rankings. I’ve been creating weekly rankings for awhile now, but this week marks something new and exciting.…
The Dallas Cowboys started the season off with one in the loss column, losing to the Panthers in a poor performance. Ezekiel Elliott failed to reach 100 total yards, which is a letdown for him. This meant there was pressure on the passing game, and this pressure did not lead to much happening. Dak Prescott passed for just 170 yards, with no touchdowns or turnovers. It was a game of mediocrity, which has seemed to be the Cowboys wide receivers’ forte. Receiver Snap Counts This remade receiving corps has been a focus of the fantasy football community throughout the…
We last saw Dez Bryant visiting with the Cleveland Browns on Hard Knocks. Of course, we can get our daily fill of Dez by checking out his Twitter, since it seems like he enjoys spending his newly found free time there. It’s basically a place to see his uncensored thoughts, as he calls out anyone who has ever criticized him, especially within the Cowboys organization. Yesterday, Mr. Bryant also gave us insight into where he would like to play this season, once he gets his mind and body right. https://twitter.com/DezBryant/status/1038900957118193665 This tweet from Dez complimenting the Washington Redskins seems innocent…
The Denver Broncos started the season off with a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. New starting quarterback Case Keenum passed for 329 yards and 3 touchdowns, but also had 3 interceptions to match. He found both Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders for touchdowns, but his third went to rookie running back Phillip Lindsay, which was not the rookie back we most expected to see. With a solid game from Lindsay, Denver quickly showed they are alright with a Broncos running back committee. Broncos Running Backs During the preseason, rookie Royce Freeman was competing with Devontae Booker for the…
