The 2022 NBA Draft is set to take place on Thursday, June 23rd. Following the results of the NBA Draft Lottery, we now have a full picture of this year’s order of picks. There are plenty of quality prospects in this year’s NBA Draft class. Among the more notable college players likely to hear their name called in this year’s draft is Gonzaga guard Andrew Nembhard. The following is a complete Andrew Nembhard draft profile including stats, highlights and an NBA Mock Draft projection.
Andrew Nembhard NBA Draft Profile, Stats, Highlights and Projection
One could argue that Andrew Nembhard has a higher basketball IQ and feel for the game than any other prospect in the 2022 NBA Draft class. He is practically a coach out on the floor. Physically, Nembhard has above-average size for the point guard position. From an intangibles standpoint, he is as pure a point guard as you’ll find. His passing and playmaking abilities are tough to match. Nembhard excels in transition and keeps the ball moving offensively. On the defensive end, his commitment and feistiness help him to overcome a lack of pure athleticism.
Weaknesses
Unfortunately, Nembhard’s lack of athleticism and quickness are two primary attributes that are limiting his draft stock. Compared to other prospects in this year’s class, his explosiveness is merely average. Nembhard will also need to work on improving his shooting form at the next level. He comes out of college with a push release of sorts on his shot.
