Strengths
With 4.3 speed and sure hands, Alex Pierce is poised to be a legitimate chunk yardage and deep threat in the NFL. In three years as a starter at Cincinnati, Pierce averaged nearly 18 yards per reception. He can stretch the field and make the big-time plays, but he is also a reliable threat in the red zone. In 2021, six of his eight touchdowns came from inside the red area.
Weaknesses
The weaknesses in Alec Pierce’s game are minimal. With just 1,850 yards and 13 career touchdowns, some evaluators are not impressed with his overall numbers as the featured wide-out on a Desmond Ridder-led offense. He has also been criticized on his form while catching deep passes, often letting the ball come all the way into his pads instead of securing it with his hands.
