While Aaron Jones has not had the same amount of highlights as last season, he continues to put together a solid season for the Green Bay Packers. In Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers, Jones set the tone for the Packers early, putting together a massive first half.

Big Half for Aaron Jones

By halftime, Jones had already ran for 114 yards and a touchdown, while adding another nine yards as a receiver. To the delight of Packer fans everywhere, Jones had 13 total touches through the first two quarters. This is a big difference from the 16.75 touches he has averaged over the last four games.

Jones notably fired his agent this week, following his contract negotiations going nowhere. It’s possible this extra motivation helped to fuel a big first half. Knowing he is looking to get paid, it also would not be surprising if Aaron Rodgers continued to call Jones’ number in the second half.

With another half of football to play and a sizeable lead already, Jones and Green Bay will likely take advantage of the poor run defense of the Panthers.

This already is Jones’ third 100-yard rushing day of the season. His season high is 168 yards. Will he break it?
