When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Despite playing at 280 pounds, Nic Scourton carries that weight extremely well. This gives him versatility for where he lines up or the scheme he plays in. He plays with power and explosion, but he is also flexible and changes direction extremely well. Scourton is refined as a pass rusher, knowing how to set up opponents using a variety of moves. His opponents recognized this as well, often sending help to slow him down.
Weaknesses
While Scourton moves well, especially with his size, he likely doesn’t have the length to consistently win on the edge in the NFL. He also needs to be more engaged stopping the run. His pad level also gets too high too often, letting opponents get under his pads.

Nic Scourton Draft Projection | Expert 2025 NFL Mock Draft Projections
This Nic Scourton draft projection comes from ESPN back in late March. Matt Miller projects Scourton to be drafted in the second round, 60th overall by the Detroit Lions. This would give Detroit an edge rusher opposite of Aidan Hutchinson.
