What is Underdog Fantasy?
In addition to live DFS drafts, Underdog Fantasy offers pick’em contests. In essence, making NBA DFS picks on Underdog combines daily fantasy sports and player props into one. A wide variety of player props exist for NBA DFS picks today. The more props a user combines, the greater their potential payout.
Unlike some other platforms in the market, Underdog Fantasy also allows users the flexibility to pick and choose which props they pair together. You can even combine DFS picks from multiple sports and games! When making Underdog Fantasy NBA picks, the only limitations are truly the user’s own imagination and creativity.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Payout
For the pick’em game format, users string player props together to form an entry. Without adding insurance to the entry by making it a “Flex” entry, you must get every selection correct to be paid out the following payouts (unless there are player multipliers). If picks are correlated, the payout can shift a bit. With insurance, the payout is less, but you can get a selection wrong and still win money!
- 2 Picks: 3x
- 3 Picks: 6x
- 4 Picks: 10x
- 5 Picks: 20x

NBA DFS Plays and Underdog Fantasy Picks For Night Two
Kevin Durant HIGHER Than 23.5 Points
The Phoenix Suns take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the season-opener for both teams. The Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard in this game and lost Paul George in the offseason. I love both Devin Booker and Kevin Durant to go over on points, but with Durant’s points at 23.5 and Booker’s at 25.5, I think it makes more sense to go with Durant. Either way, with Bradley Beal and Booker healthy, Durant should see ample amounts of single coverage. Over his career, Durant has averaged 27.3 points per game (PPG) on 52.3% scoring.
Durant is still one of the best scorers in the league and, in a divisional matchup that could immediately have playoff implications, I am expecting him to be at his best. In his career against the Clippers, Durant has averaged 27.8 PPG in the regular season and 32.4 PPG in the playoffs. In fact, Durant has gone over 23.5 points in five of his last six games against the Clippers and eight out of the last 10.
Gary Trent Jr. HIGHER Than 16.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists
The Milwaukee Bucks open their season against the Philadelphia 76ers, but they will be without Khris Middleton. On the other side, the 76ers will be without Paul George in this game. With the Bucks down Middleton, I would expect an expanded role for Gary Trent Jr., as he will run the two. Trent’s 39.3% three-point percentage from last year will help to open space for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. On top of his starting potential, I would imagine that Trent will see some run with the second unit as well. Having Antetokounmpo and Lillard on your team should help with assists as well.
Trent has gone over 16.5 P+R+A in six out of his last seven games and nine of his last 11 against the 76ers. As I alluded to before, Paul George will be out of this game, so that probably Trent sees Tyrese Maxey or Eric Gordon guarding him. While I like both players, neither of them scares me on the defensive side of the ball.
Norman Powell LOWER Than 19 Points
The Los Angeles Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard in their matchup against the Phoenix Suns, which probably means a higher usage rate for Terance Mann in this game. The Clippers really like Terance Mann, so I think that we will see a lot of the Clippers scoring coming from both him and Harden. Norman Powell should play a catch-and-shoot role in this game. The problem is that Powell will probably have to spend energy chasing either Devin Booker or Bradley Beal around the three-point line. In order for Los Angeles to win this game, they have to rotate Powell, Harden, Kris Dunn and Kevin Porter in throughout the game to keep the guards fresh.
Powell has gone under 19 points in four out of his last five games against the Suns. While I do think that Powell is a good player, 19 points is just too high for a player who is used to coming off of the bench and will need to expend a lot of energy on defense.
