The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action this Sunday for the Ally 400. For just the second time in the history of the Cup Series, the drivers will duke it out on the concrete surface of Nashville Superspeedway. The Music City track will provide some tricky turns for the drivers to conquer. Knowing who is capable of navigating this unique race track is critical when it comes to setting NASCAR DFS lineups this weekend. Read below for our Ally 400 DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks and lineup advice.

DraftKings NASCAR DFS Overview

In this DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks column, we will be using DraftKings prices and scoring. Their scoring includes the following:

Ally 400 Drivers to Consider | DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks

Ross Chastain ($10,500)

Ross Chastain had a strong race at Nashville Superspeedway last year and came home second. The “Melon Man” is driving better equipment this year for the red-hot Trackhosue Racing team and has steadily stayed up front for most of the races. That trend seems likely to continue this weekend. The No. 1 car belongs in your Ally 400 DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups.

William Byron ($9,900)

William Byron finished third here in last season’s race. He has largely been on a similar path in 2022 to how last season went. Byron has two wins and has spent ample time running up inside the top-10 at numerous tracks. If not for some costly mistakes and bad luck, his results from the first 16 races would undoubtedly be much more impressive. If the No. 24 team brings similar speed to what they had in last year’s Ally 400, Byron is more than capable of winning Sunday’s race.

Chris Buescher ($6,100)

Chris Buescher finished second at Sonoma Raceway prior to the bye week. Perhaps that result was an indication that Roush-Fenway Keselowski Racing is starting to figure things out. Even before Sonoma, Buescher had shown plenty of speed in a number of recent races. Why not ride the start of what appears to be a positive surge for the No. 17 team? Buescher makes for a terrific DraftKings NASCAR DFS value play this weekend.

Ally 400 Drivers to Avoid | DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks

Tyler Reddick ($8,900)

In last year’s Ally 400, Tyler Reddick spun out coming off of pit road. Do you really need another reason to avoid him in NASCAR DFS this week? He is either going to finish at the top of the boards or finish in the back of the pack. Given how badly he struggled at Nashville a year ago, it is probably best to skip past the No. 8 when setting lineups for Sunday’s race.

Denny Hamlin ($10,200)

It has been a topsy-turvy 2022 season for Denny Hamlin thus far. Sure, he has two race wins on the year, but his results outside of those outright victories have been extremely lackluster. Like Reddick, Hamlin has either been finishing right at the front or well off the pace. Based on a disappointing finish at Nashville Superspeedway last year, the No. 11 car does not seem like a worthwhile NASCAR DFS picks option this week.

Martin Truex Jr. ($9,700)

The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota has had a pretty solid year so far. However, Martin Truex Jr. did not have a great run in the Ally 400 as he finished the race a lap down. Perhaps Truex will turn it around this year and finish better after announcing he is returning to the NASCAR Cup Series next season. With that said, last year’s performance at Nashville does not bode well for him or the No. 19 team. Leave MTJ on the bench when making your DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks this week.
