Losers of four straight and 12 of their first 15 games to begin the season, the Lynx will be trying desperately to get back in the win column on Sunday night. Minnesota actually led Seattle at the half in their most recent game on Tuesday. Unfortunately, they were outscored by nine after the break and fell by a mere two points at home. Most don’t anticipate Sunday’s Lynx ve Aces prediction resulting in a final margin anywhere near that close.
A season that started out poorly for the Lynx only got worse when they lost center, Sylvia Fowles, to a long-term knee injury. Although the 36-year-old is hopeful to return to the court before the conclusion of this, her final WNBA season, it certainly won’t be tonight. This leaves Kayla McBride as the only consistent offensive threat for Minnesota in a game in which they will need to score plenty to keep up with Las Vegas. It is worth noting that Aerial Powers and Nikolina Milic both played quite well in Tuesday’s narrow home loss.
Las Vegas Aces Preview
The 2022 WNBA betting season has gotten off to a terrific start for the Aces. Las Vegas enters Sunday night’s home game on a three-game winning streak. Most recently, the Aces picked up consecutive road wins over Los Angeles and Dallas in impressive fashion. The latter win saw Las Vegas clinch a spot in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title game for the second year in a row. Of course, when a team is led by a trio of former No. 1 overall picks that have blossomed into superstars, it will presumably be a tough one to beat.
This is precisely what the Aces have assembled in the three-headed monster of Kelsey Plum (20.1 points per game), Jackie Young (18.3) and A’ja Wilson (18.1). Throw in Dearica Hamby (13.6) and Chelsea Gray (12.9) and it’s no surprise that the Aces largely continue to steamroll their opponents with unmatched offensive outputs. Wilson is nearly averaging a double-double on the season as she has also produced 9.6 rebounds per game. Relative to the Lynx, only McBride is averaging more points per game coming into Sunday’s contest than each of the top five scorers for the Aces.
