After a roller-coaster season, we have reached championship week in fantasy football. Heck, this NFL season even forced fantasy managers to sweat out one additional week of football just to get to this point thanks to the expanded schedule. Alas, those who have survived all the way to Week 17 now find themselves just one win away from glory. That said, there is still much work to be done. In a winner-take-all championship matchup, anything goes. This includes foregoing players you have been stashing all season in favor of the best possible outcome at every position in your lineup. If you are in the market for some championship-worthy tight end fantasy football streamers, you have come to the right place.
Read on for three fantasy football streamers at tight end for Week 17 of the NFL season. At the end of the column, readers will also find a list of starting TEs who might be worth fading in difficult matchups this week.
Week 17 Fantasy Football TE Streamers
Ownership percentages reflect those across all Sleeper Fantasy Football leagues
Gerald Everett | Seattle Seahawks (vs DET)
Current Ownership: 26%
It is a bit surprising to see that Gerald Everett remains rostered in only a quarter of leagues heading into Week 17. After all, the Seahawks’ tight end has scored double-digit PPR points in three straight games and five of the last seven overall. Even in the two games where he failed to hit the 10-point threshold Everett still caught multiple passes. He has seen at least four targets in all but one game over the recent stretch. Last week saw the veteran post his best fantasy football line of the season with 68 yards on four receptions and a touchdown. The resulting total was 16.8 PPR points.
Along with momentum and the trust of quarterback Russell Wilson, Everett also stands to benefit from a favorable matchup against the Detroit Lions. Although Detroit has been playing hard down the stretch, they have surrendered 14.0 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. A positive matchup combined with his stable role in the Seahawks’ passing attack makes Everett worthy of streaming consideration in championship matchups this week.

Foster Moreau | Las Vegas Raiders (at IND)
Current Ownership: 13%
Just when the Raiders and fantasy football managers hoped that they might finally get Darren Waller back from injury for Week 17, he landed in virus protocols. Did we mention that this has been a roller coaster of a season with a little bit of everything? While the NFL recently relaxed the return-to-play timetable for players who test positive, it will still be difficult for Waller to be active on Sunday. As a result, Foster Moreau has upside as a fantasy football TE streamers again this week.
When it comes to the Raiders’ offense, Derek Carr simply does not have any reliable weapons to speak of. As a result, Moreau has garnered four targets or more in each of the last five games while filling in as the starter. After topping 60 yards receiving and scoring double-digit PPR points in each of the last two weeks, Moreau will have a chance to do so again on Sunday. While the Indianapolis Colts are red-hot, they have been vulnerable to TEs this season. In fact, Indy has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game (16.8) to the position this season. As he tries to help Las Vegas’ playoff hopes alive, Moreau just might deliver a championship-caliber stat line in the process.
James O’Shaughnessy | Jacksonville Jaguars (at NE)
Current Ownership: 4%
If, by chance, this is your first time getting fantasy football streamers advice from FlurrySports, note that this column built an identity off of including a Jaguars TE nearly every week. Here we are in Week 17. Fantasy championships are on the line. Why would we steer away from a strategy that has rewarded us more often than not? Jacksonville may be a complete disaster of a team, but James O’Shaughnessy came through with a respectable fantasy line again last week. The former Illinois State player hauled in all four of his targets for 49 yards to finish with 8.9 PPR points. He has now seen at least four targets in five straight games and has exactly four receptions in each of the last three.
While O’Shaughnessy does not come with a high ceiling as far as upside, desperate managers can do much worse than ride with one of the Jaguars’ top receiving weapons this week. The steady target share speaks for itself. With James Robinson going down to an Achilles injury last week, Trevor Lawrence has one less playmaker to target. Keep in mind that neither O’Shaughnessy nor Dan Arnold (when he was healthy) has scored a touchdown this season. Nonetheless, they continue to provide decent numbers for those who have streamed them in.
While a matchup against the New England Patriots is far from appealing, Jacksonville will almost certainly be trailing in the game which can help breed opportunities for O’Shaughnessy. Plus, it’s only fitting that we conclude the 2021 TE streamers column with this week’s resident Jaguar selection!
