Week 6 is here and with it the first week of byes to navigate through, as the Falcons, Saints, Jets and 49ers all are off this week. With these, you may have to begin to use some of your bench depth. And as a reminder, this article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill or Cooper Kupp, you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football WRs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices.

Welcome back to our weekly fantasy football start or sit article and our ever-popular player-based fantasy team names, just in case you are interested in creating a hip new image for your team.

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 6 WRs

    Start: Chase Claypool vs Seahawks

    Team Name: Chasing a Title

With JuJu Smith-Schuster done for the year, this might be your buy-low window for Chase Claypool prior to this game. In games that Smith-Schuster has not played or left early this season, Claypool has put up some monster stats, including nine catches for 96 yards against the Bengals and five catches for 130 yards and a touchdown last week, good for 24 fantasy points. Now, in a game with the Seahawks, who allow 43.2 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing WRs, look for more of the same from Claypool.

    Start: DeVonta Smith vs. Buccaneers

    Team Name: Slim Reaper

Over the last two games, DeVonta Smith has seen 18 targets, which he has turned into 7-112 for 18.2 fantasy points and 7-77 for 14.7 fantasy points, good for WR12 and WR27, respectively. Now, in a matchup with the Buccaneers, who are giving up 46.7 fppg and with a projected total of 53 points, he belongs in lineups. Look for Jalen Hurts to continue to target Smith early and often as the Eagles try to keep up with the Bucs. Start him this week in a great matchup.

    Sit: A.J. Brown vs. Bills

Team Name: It’s the Great Pumpkin A.J. Brown

Through four games this season, A.J. Brown has yet to finish above WR33, with finishes of WR60, WR120 and WR64. Now, with a matchup with the Bills coming up, he faces his toughest test to date. As mentioned in the QB Start/Sit, this is not going to be an easy task. The Bills are giving up only 25.8 fppg to opposing WRs and this does not look like the game that the Titans passing offense shows up. It is always tough to bench a guy who you have invested high draft capital in, but starting Brown this week is not advisable.

    Sit: Allen Robinson vs. Packers

Team Name: We’re Allen This Together

Allen Robinson was featured in this article last week and didn’t fail to disappoint, turning his five targets into four receptions for 32 yards. This marked his fourth straight week with six or less targets, and he has yet to finish as a WR4 this season in any week. This week, in a home matchup with the Packers, who are giving up only 33.8 fppg to opposing WRs, Robinson is best left on the bench again. We are in full-blown prove-it mode now with Robinson, where he needs to put forth a solid performance with Justin Fields at the helm before we can put him anywhere near fantasy football lineups, except in the most desperate of situations.
