With the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bears draft Justin Fields, quarterback out of Ohio State. They are hoping Fields will be the one to finally break the Ohio State quarterback curse. Justin Fields was slated for months to be the surefire #2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Along the way, however, for one reason or another, scouts started to question his ability to work at the NFL level. As a result, he finds himself slide to number 11 where the Bears eagerly traded up to get him.

    Terms: #Giants traded pick No. 11 to Chicago for No. 22, 164, a future 1 and 4. A haul.

What to Expect From Justin Fields in 2021

Justin Fields might just be the best quarterback in this draft, and that includes Trevor Lawrence. Fields will step into a Chicago Bears organization that’s most successful quarterback since 2000 is arguably Rex Grossman. Fields can do everything as he has the legs to keep the defense honest, and the arm strength and accuracy to beat you over the top. The Bears have been the laughing stock among the league for missing out on quarterbacks in the past and are doing everything they can to right the ship here.

What will become of Fields this season is anyone’s guess. If the Bears have shown us one thing, it’s that at times even they don’t know what they want to do at their quarterback position. Fields will join a room with Nick Foles and recent free agent signing Andy Dalton. One would assume they’d give him a year to sit before handing him the reigns. Training camp and preseason games will be a good indication on their intentions with Fields.
