Trevon Moehrig Draft Profile
Strengths
Trevon Moehrig has good size and great length to play the ball in the air. He is also not afraid to throw his body around, as one of the hardest-hitting safeties and players in the 2021 NFL Draft. Moehrig is versatile in coverage, having shown the ability to float or cover the slot. He also has the tools to play down in the box as a safety/linebacker hybrid when needed.
Weaknesses
The biggest of Trevon Moehrig’s weaknesses is probably that he just has not been challenged much. He only had to make a play on 3.15% of all the defensive snaps he played across the last two seasons. Moehrig also has iffy balance and does not possess the range needed to be a single-high safety at the NFL level.
