Sam Cosmi Highlights
Sam Cosmi Draft Profile
Strengths
Cosmi is a natural athlete at the tackle position. While the play seemed more clickworthy than important, Cosmi’s touchdown run looked natural, as if he was a tight end with the ball in his hands. His experience in a pass-happy offense gives him a leg up on many other prospects, given he has film that already shows he can thrive at the pro level. Cosmi is terrific at keeping rushers in front of him and riding them past the pocket. He is also capable of driving anyone in the running game.
Weaknesses
Cosmi bends at his waist far too often, which can throw him off balance and lead to other problems during plays. He’s obviously a big guy, but it leads to him playing too high later in games. Cosmi also has the tendency of getting out of his stance late. While he does have the athleticism to recover at the college level, the NFL is less forgiving.
