Week 8 Fantasy Football Streamers at WR

    Cole Beasley, BUF (vs NE)

Cole Beasley is available in 49% of ESPN leagues. If he is available in your league, you need to pick him up and immediately start him. In full point PPR leagues, Beasley has had just one game where he scored under 10 points. Throughout the season, he has also recorded five or more receptions four times. The games that he didn’t record five receptions? He scored a touchdown. With Sean McDermott coming out and saying that Beasley is critical to this Bills’ offense, it is likely that Beasley will stay involved.

This week, the Bills play New England in a huge divisional matchup. Bill Belichick will likely try to take away Josh Allen’s deep ball, opening the door for Beasley to thrive in underneath routes. Look for Beasley to be a major focal point of the offense this week, and look for him to continue his great season for weeks to come.

    Marquez Valdes-Scantling, GB (vs MIN)

Where did Marquez Valdes-Scantling go? After a stellar Week 1 performance, MVS has seemed to drop off of the face of the fantasy football universe. This is a bounce back game for MVS this week, though, making him an interesting streamer. With Aaron Jones dealing with an injury, the Packers are going to throw the ball a little more than they would like to. That, combined with the fact that Harrison Smith will likely by shading to whatever side of the field Davante Adams is on, spells a good recipe for MVS. In the Week 1 matchup with Minnesota, MVS recorded four catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. If he wants to stay relevant in this Packers’ offense, this is the week that he needs to show that he is still capable of being a consistent target for Aaron Rodgers.

    Henry Ruggs, LV (vs CLE)

The Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs as the first receiver in a receiving class that is projected to be one of the best in NFL history. They are going to use him much more than have used him thus far (eight receptions). If they want Ruggs to get on track and develop some chemistry with Derek Carr, this is the week to do it. With Darren Waller being a monster in the middle of the field, Nelson Agholor having a career year and Josh Jacobs being a workhorse running back, it’s inevitable that Ruggs will be forgotten about by this Cleveland defense. This is an exceptional matchup for him this week, as the Browns give up the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers among AFC teams. This is a week where we could see Ruggs catch a handful of deep balls, resulting in big receiving numbers.

Look for this week to be Ruggs’ breakout week and consider him for a streamer, if you are in need.
