Week 16 is finally here! If you have managed to remain relevant in your fantasy leagues still, congratulations, because you’re likely playing for your league’s championship. If you’re out of the running and you’re simply kicking yourself because you did not read enough my work and now you’re hoping to soak up slightest ounce of fantasy knowledge in preparation to live up to the fantasy owner I know you can be, I do not blame you.

In all seriousness, congrats on making your championship if you’re there and, if you’re not, this article can still be beneficial for DFS, as the lower owned guys are probably value options on your daily fantasy site.

These are three of my favorite lower-owned streaming TE options this week in PPR scoring. If you are in need of a boost to your lineup this week, I think you can consider these three, or you can pick them up if your opponent’s team would benefit by adding them.

If you are unsure where these three rank in relation to your current roster, you can consult my Week 16 fantasy rankings, which will be updated throughout the week.

    OJ Howard vs Texans (52.3%)

Ah, OJ Howard, one of the most frustrating players this fantasy season. In a sick way, it’s almost right that Howard wins you a fantasy championship. He is certainly in a great opportunity to, with Tampa losing 54.2 percent of their receiving production over the past two weeks, due to the injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Howard has also been much better and more consistent lately, catching 13 of his 19 targets for 180 yards over the past three games. He faces the Texans, who have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to TEs over the past five weeks.

    Jacob Hollister vs Cardinals (44.7%)

When in doubt, play the TE against the Cardinals. This narrative has continued to work well this season, with Arizona surrendering nearly 20 fantasy points per game to TEs this year, which is by far the most.

While Jacob Hollister has slowed down, he is still one of the top weapons on this offense, especially in the red zone. And now, he has the opportunity to see another target or two per game, with Josh Gordon out indefinitely. While Gordon has not been a great producer, he is a big body and could be used as a red zone threat. With him gone, Hollister is again the no-brainer best red zone receiving weapon in Seattle, who has a great chance to catch a touchdown against the worst defense against TEs this season.

    Mike Gesicki vs Bengals (25.7%)

The Bengals are no good and already have their eyes set on bringing Joe Burrow back to Ohio. Andy Dalton knows this, which could lead to him playing a bit better against an also terrible Miami defense. In other words, this is a sneaky shootout spot between Dalton and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Oh boy, grab the popcorn.

Gesicki has been a solid receiving weapon for Fitzpatrick this season, and he has eight-plus fantasy points in three of his past four games. In another solid spot, Gesicki has a higher floor than many of the higher-owned TEs, and he has an equally high ceiling, due to the offense, the matchup and his athleticism.
