Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 WRs Include Garrett Wilson

October 29, 2026

It’s no secret that the running back position has been a tough one for fantasy football this season. If you have an RB2 that you feel good about every week, that is a luxury that should not be overlooked. However, given injuries and four teams on bye (SF, NO, NYG, HOU), the position is a bit thinner than normal, creating some tough Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em decisions to make in Week 8. I’m here to help!

For my fantasy start/sit, we will discuss players who are on the fringe of your lineup. Players who may or may not be an RB2 or Flex for you, depending on the matchup. Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also access the FlurrySports Playbook here for all of the matchup-winning data your league doesn’t want you to have! There’s no doubt it will help with your fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 RBs

Start: Josh Jacobs Fantasy Outlook vs Panthers

Josh Jacobs has a great opportunity to turn in a great performance on Thursday Night Football. The Green Bay Packers draw a home matchup against a Carolina Panthers defense that allowed Bucky Irving to run for 106 yards and two touchdowns last week.

The Panthers have continued to get destroyed on the ground this season. Carolina allows the second-most fantasy points to RBs, and they also allow the most yards per carry in the league (5.2). In his first game of the season, Jacobs carried the ball 11 times and was targeted seven times last week. His usage should be high, so get him in your starting lineup.

If you believe in Josh Jacobs as I do, sign up for SmackTok with code FLURRY to play higher on his stats tonight! When you sign up with my code, you get a FREE PICK of Jordan Love 0.5 yards. You also get a $50 match and a profit boost, so don’t waste this Love pick!

Start: Bhayshul Tuten Fantasy Outlook vs Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have traded away DeForest Buckner, so their run defense takes a huge hit. Of course, they were already allowing the fifth-most yards per carry this season, so the matchup for Bhayshul Tuten is a great one.

We last saw Tuten over in a London matchup where he scored twice. Coming into this season, volume was a bit of a concern for him, but he has certainly put that to rest. Since Week 3, Tuten is averaging 19.3 looks per game and 0.78 fantasy points per touch.

This looks to be a game where the Jaguars are very efficient, much like they were when they beat the Patriots, 35-6. Tuten touched the ball 17 times in that game, so fire him up with confidence, and I like him to find the end zone.

Sit: Tony Pollard Fantasy Outlook at Bengals

Honestly, Tony Pollard could get traded before this week’s game. However, regardless of whether or not he is active for a game, he is a “sit” for Week 8.

Pollard and the Tennessee Titans get a terrible matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. It is not getting talked about enough, but the Bengals’ interior duo of Dexter Lawrence and Jonathan Allen is the best interior duo in the NFL. Team cannot run inside the tackles against them. As a result, Cincinnati has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs.

Tony Pollard is coming off an incredible fantasy performance, and he could be a great addition for a contending team. However, at this point in his career, he isn’t someone who will be escaping on outside runs very often. This means his ceiling is low in Week 8.

Sit: Jonah Coleman Fantasy Outlook vs Chiefs

Everyone is creaming themselves over Jonah Coleman as if a different Denver Broncos running back hasn’t gotten the most usage every other week. Now, I really liked Jonah Coleman as a prospect, and I think he will have a good NFL career. I just have zero idea why Coleman is confidently being touted as a good play in Week 8.

In his return from injury, Coleman led the backfield in snap share, but it was still just 49%. This week, he faces a Chiefs defense that allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to RBs. They also allow the fourth-fewest yards per carry.

For a Broncos RB to have success this week, they will likely have to do it as a receiver. Coleman could catch passes, but RJ Harvey also excels in this department. There is no clear-cut backfield leader and the matchup is a negative one, so sit your Jonah Coleman and other Denver RBs, if you can help it.
