DraftKings NFL DFS Picks For Falcons vs Packers
Captain: Tucker Kraft (TE, GB) $10,500
The start to the season for Tucker Kraft has not been anything exceptional, as it should have been expected coming back ready for Week 1 after recovering from an ACL tear. This week, the Packers will be looking to make a statement after a near-embarrassing loss to the Jets, and Kraft is a key ingredient to that recipe.
We just watched Darren Waller get two touchdowns against the Falcons this past week. Even in Week 1, Pat Freiermuth found the end zone for the Steelers. There have been two tight end performances against them for 16+ PPR points, and three touchdowns from inside the red zone (12 yards, 7 yards, and 6 yards).
Now, I am not guaranteeing you a Tucker Kraft touchdown, but what I am saying is the Falcons appear to lose sight of the tight end inside the 20.
Bijan Robinson (RB, ATL) $11,800
Last week was very underwhelming for Bijan Robinson fantasy managers, just barely getting across 10 PPR points. I know Penix is not this massive an upgrade, but anything was better than whatever we watched the first two weeks.
At the end of last season, the Falcons won their final four games, and in that stretch, Bijan averaged nearly 24 opportunities a game (23.75) and 27 PPR points per game. So far this season, he has seen 25.5 looks per game, per the FlurrySports Opportunity Index, so the workload is there.
He will be the best player on the field, and the Packers know that. But with a more capable passer under center, they cannot fully commit to stopping Bijan, or else Drake London and Kyle Pitts will have their way with the secondary, leading to Bijan Robinson being one of the DraftKings NFL DFS picks worth paying up for.
Christian Watson (WR, GB) $9,800
Christian Watson has simply been balling to begin the season. He has delivered fantasy managers 30.7 PPR points in Week 1 and 14.1 in Week 2. The Falcons just placed their star corner AJ Terrell on IR, leaving Watson to be matched up with CJ Henderson or Mike Hughes. I don’t know about you, but I am taking Watson 9/10 times.
Over two weeks, Christian Watson has three of the Packers’ four touchdowns and is coming off an 11-target game against the Jets. Watson will deliver a 10+ PPR point performance again in a favorable matchup that is without the team’s star cornerback.
Drake London (WR, ATL) $8,800
Yes, I am telling you to do this. It may still feel gross, but London was projected to have a great season, even with the anticipation of Tua or Penix being the starter. He now has one of those two throwing him the football after only seeing five targets in each of the Falcons’ first two games. For reference, London only had two games all last season with fewer than eight targets.
The Packers’ secondary looks like Swiss cheese (yes, pun intended); Justin Jefferson looked like the JJettas we all love and remember in Week 1. Then in Week 2, Garrett Wilson 5/57/1 and the next man up, Adonai Mitchell, saw 12 targets, turning that into 12.3 PPR points.
Trey Smack (K, GB) $5,200
I expect some Packers drives to just naturally not find their way into the end zone with a lack of ground attack, and Trey Smack has been solid through the first two weeks of his NFL career.
In Week 1, the rookie scored 10 of the Packers’ 22 points, and in Week 2 Smack finished with eight of the Packers’ 20 points scored.
Zachariah Branch (WR, ATL) $3,800
Maybe we get to see Zachariah Branch make a rookie impact, once again, with a slightly more capable passer under center. He has not done much to receive the nod that this could be a dark-horse pick, but hey, he has caught each of his two targets this season.
