If you are more of a casual soccer fan or just prefer high-intensity games with some of the most passionate fans in the world, Group C is a must-watch in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Perennial contender Brazil is the main headliner in this group, but Morocco has burst onto the international scene in recent years, finishing fourth in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after upsetting Spain and Portugal in the knockout rounds.
Scotland is back in the competition for the first time since 1998 and brings their loyal hoard of fans with them, as will Haiti, who were a surprise qualifier, only reaching the tournament once before back in 1974.

World Cup Group C Predictions
On paper and on the pitch, this group is realistically just a race to see which position Brazil and Morocco qualify for the knockout stages in, and whether or not Scotland chokes to Haiti to finish in last or not. This is an incredibly stacked group with both Brazil and Morocco serving as two teams that have the talent to go all the way. Both teams went far in the 2022 World Cup, with Brazil losing in the quarterfinals to Croatia in penalties after giving up an equalizer in the waning minutes of the game. Morocco made it all the way to the semifinals, where they lost to an absolutely stacked French team.
When the two teams square off, it’ll likely be the most entertaining game of the group stages and will show us just how well these two giants stack up against elite competition. Neither team is the “favorite” to win the World Cup, so to speak, but both have a really good shot to go all the way should the bracket fall in their favor. Outside of them, there is a Haiti team that is quite frankly just happy to be here, and a Scotland team that, while also just happy to be here, at least has some true top-tier talent on their roster. It’s unlikely either of Haiti or Scotland can do enough to secure a second-place finish, but with luck, Scotland could qualify as one of the higher-ranked third-place teams if they can rack up the goals against Haiti and not lose too badly to Brazil or Morocco.
Brazil is getting older and isn’t quite as good as in past tournaments, but I’ll still give them the edge to win the World Cup Group C. With that being said, you can find really good odds on Morocco to win the group, so don’t feel wary about taking those odds. Morocco will likely finish right behind Brazil, followed by Scotland and then Haiti, who, quite frankly, would count themselves lucky to even score a goal.
