The offensive line play all around the NFL has been on the decline over the past several years. When is the 2026 NFL Draft?
The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a football city that will provide a great backdrop for the draft festivities, but everyone is crossing their fingers that the weather cooperates. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 24th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 25th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.
Chase Bisontis Scouting Report
Strengths
The former Texas A&M lineman has great balance both when maintaining blocks and in the open field. His quickness both moving up to the next level and in close spaces, is also very good. He uses this quickness to seal off defenders both at the point of attack and the second level. While Bisontis doesn’t have ideal length, he does do a good job getting hands off of him with chops and turning his body.
Weaknesses
Chase Bisontis will lose battles on the inside solely due to his lack of length. And along with his short arms, he has the tendancy to lunge instead of moving his feet, making a weakness a much larger issue. Defenses found ways to extend him out of position, exposing his lack of length and inconsistent hands.
Bisontis has the tendency to play too high, losing leverage and strength. This leads to a lack of movement and success upfront in the running game.
