A look at the Carson Beck NFL Draft profile, including a scouting report, his college highlights and stats, and a draft projection.
To say that Carson Beck had an up-and-down college career would be an understatement. After never really finding his footing at Georgia, he transferred to Miami for his final year of eligibility. Beck proved more than serviceable at quarterback for a Hurricanes team that advanced all the way to the CFP National Championship Game. The question now becomes where in the draft Beck will be selected and just what his ceiling might be as an NFL QB.
Let’s take a look at our Carson Beck NFL Draft profile, including his stats, scouting report, college highlights, and more!

Carson Beck Scouting Report
Strengths
Beck possesses a prototypical NFL quarterback build, with good size and extensive experience in high-leverage situations. He is comfortable working through his progressions and shows the ability to make multiple reads when operating from a clean pocket.
From a mechanical standpoint, Beck has a compact release and delivers the ball with consistent spin. He showed improvement in decision-making during his final collegiate season, taking better care of the football overall. While not a true dual-threat quarterback, he offers enough mobility to extend plays and pick up yards when needed, displaying a willingness to move the chains with his legs.
Weaknesses
Beck enters the NFL with some durability concerns following a torn UCL in his throwing elbow that cut his 2024 season short. Although he returned to form in 2025, there were signs that his velocity was not fully restored. His deep-ball effectiveness has never been a major strength, and the injury may further limit that aspect of his game.
Handling pressure remains a key area of concern. Beck is significantly less effective when the pocket collapses, as his footwork can become inconsistent and lead to rushed throws. He struggles to maintain proper mechanics under duress, which contributes to poor decisions and turnover-worthy plays. His interception totals also rose over his final two seasons, reflecting some of those inconsistencies when pressured.
