He has the size and athleticism to become a productive player at the next level. Of course, the fact that he did not play against the best opposition in college means that he will face a stiff uptick in competition as he transitions to the professional ranks.

Ted Hurst Scouting Report
Strengths
With a long stride and strong athleticism, Hurst possesses the physical tools to challenge defenders at the next level. His speed was evident at the NFL Combine, where he finished top-20 among wide receivers in the 40-yard dash. That same speed shows up on film, making him a legitimate vertical threat while also allowing him to generate yards after the catch in open space.
Hurst also shows the ability to handle press coverage with a savvy release package and sound footwork. He tracks the ball well downfield and does a good job creating separation on comeback routes by managing space effectively. When factoring in his physical traits and movement skills, he has the upside to expand his route tree beyond his college usage.
Weaknesses
The level of competition Hurst faced in college presents a notable concern as he transitions to the NFL. After spending time at the Division II level and not competing consistently against top FBS programs, there may be an adjustment period against NFL-caliber defensive backs.
His hand strength is another area for improvement. Despite his size and wingspan, he does not consistently win in contested catch situations and can struggle in 50/50 scenarios. Additionally, his impact as a run blocker is limited, which may affect his role early in his career.
