When is the 2026 NFL Draft?

The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Pittsburgh, PA. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 24th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Saturday, April 25th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Arvell Reese Scouting Report

Strengths

The best thing about Reese that is making teams salivate over him is his ability to play multiple positions in a hybrid role. As a player who can play edge and traditional linebacker, he allows defensive coordinators to move him wherever they want and not have to worry about his production. He has good speed and is fluid in essentially all movements. Arvell Reese has some good moves in pass rush as well, which could become dangerous with some development.

As a traditional linebacker, he can be trusted in man and zone coverage, although he is more comfortable playing zone. For the amount of production that he had at Ohio State, it’s incredible to think that he can get even better with the amount of raw talent he possesses.

Weaknesses

One of the biggest weaknesses in Reese’s game is that, for as talented as he is, he’s still pretty raw overall. While he can play both on the edge and at the more traditional linebacker position, his play awareness and recognition take some time. As a result, there are some plays where he’s slower to react than he should. He can also be fooled with play action and trick plays, which can put him in bad positions. He can also have some struggles getting off blockers in the run game when the offensive line can get to the next level and meet him there.

While it was just one game, he was nowhere to be found in the Big Ten Championship game against Indiana.
