When is the 2026 NFL Draft?
The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a football city that will provide a great backdrop for the draft festivities, but everyone is crossing their fingers that the weather cooperates. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 24th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 25th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.
Kadyn Proctor Scouting Report
Strengths
Obviously, Kadyn Proctor is an absolute load. He’s a mountain. His length is elite, and his power is as good as anyone’s. If asked to block down or work a double-team on a defender, that defender will be moving.
Along with his overall strength in moving defenders, he also has great grip strength, so rushers do not get away from him if he is able to lock on. Proctor absorbs power rushers and any bull rush moves.
As far as athleticism, Proctor does a good job at moving his hips and sealing the edge on outside runs. He is also surprisingly good in open space, working his way to the second level.
Weaknesses
Proctor needs more experience and hard coaching. Unless the call is a downblock or to hit the man ahead of him, there is either hesitation or confusion.
As with most linemen of his size, his quickness and footwork can also be exposed. It causes him to catch defenders (and get off balance), and he gets beaten by stunts and slants. His kick-steps and overall pass-set need to be coached. It looks like he may just do what’s comfortable for him, but it will not lead to success against NFL edge rushers.
