Chris Bell Scouting Report
Strengths
The biggest strength of Chris Bell’s NFL Draft scouting report is his unique blend of size and speed. He has the build of a WR1 and getaway speed that has shown up on tape time and time again. He also showed improvement each year in college and does a good job adjusting to the ball to put himself in the best position to make the catch. Bell is also a tough guy to bring down in the open field. When he gets into space, he does an incredible job at taking just the right angle to squeeze the most yards out of every play. On multiple occasions, he’s turned what looks to be a big gain into a house call.
Weaknesses
The biggest weakness for Bell right now is one that he can’t control: his ACL tear that he suffered late in the 2025 season. With a player his size and with his explosiveness, it remains to be seen if it will affect his game at all moving forward. In addition, with the injury being suffered late in the season, he may miss a few games to start the NFL season if he suffers any setbacks.
Outside of injuries, Bell can be a little weak with his routes and won’t lose or deceive many defenders in the process. He also can struggle with press coverage at times, which could be a big issue if he doesn’t improve on it before hitting the NFL level. While he does have speed, he also lacks some of the quickness to break on routes effectively as well.
