As the New Orleans Saints attempt to dig themselves out from well below the salary cap line, they have decided to part ways with veteran cornerback Janoris Jenkins. The Saints corner had a pretty solid season, allowing only a 60% catch rate and totaling three interceptions and six pass breakups.
At 32 years old, Jenkins will not see a long-term or high-money contract in NFL Free Agency. However, he could be a solid cornerback option for teams with limited cap maneuverability.
With that in mind, these are three Janoris Jenkins free agent destinations.
Possible Janoris Jenkins Free Agent Destinations
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers currently have the sixth-fewest salary cap room, sitting below the line. They also have a massive need for a starting cornerback opposite of Jaire Alexander. Taking another second role on a contender seems to be a perfect option for the aging Jenkins. It is not likely he will demand as much money as some of the other top, younger cornerbacks on the market.
Pittsburgh Steelers
With Mike Hilton as a free agent, the Steelers also have a need at cornerback. The Ben Roethlisberger restructure has helped them get more salary cap room than the Packers, but they are also not capable of being big spenders on the open market. Jenkins could sign a one-year deal and help Pittsburgh make one final push with Big Ben.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a big need at cornerback and a lot of money to spend. If Jenkins is looking for the biggest payday, he may return to his home state to play for Urban Meyer in Jacksonville. He would be a solid mentor to some of the young secondary they have there, as Meyer looks to turn the Jaguars around.
