2022 SRX Racing Drivers

Tony Stewart

The co-owner and the defending SRX racing series champion will reprise his role again for the 2022 season. Tony Stewart won two feature races in the season last year and hopes to do more this year, proving he is the best driver on the track.

Ryan Newman

The newly “retired” NASCAR driver will once again drive for Tony Stewart. Even after telling people to “google Tony Stewart,” Newman finds himself back in the 39 car for Stewart in the 2022 SRX racing season. Will Newman use this to jump his NASCAR career again? Time will tell.

Bobby Labonte

The 2000 NASCAR Cup Series champion returns for his second season in the SRX series. Bobby Labonte comes back to his number 18 car where he hopes to better his third-place points finish from last year. His best finish was a second in the IRP race so he hopes to get his first win this season.

Marco Andretti

The driver of the 98 returns to the SRX series for its second season. The former Indycar driver won last season at Slinger Speedway, holding off the Singer specialist Luke Fenhaus. Marco Andretti finished fourth in the points standings last season, so he’s trying to do three spots better this year.

Paul Tracy

The only non-American full-timer on the SRX racing drivers list this year. Paul Tracy comes back for another season of SRX. PT the former Indycar driver and announcer will take the number 13 car for the 2022 season. Tracy hopes for better than a fifth this year.

Michael Waltrip

The 2001 and 2003 Daytona 500 champion will return for the 2022 SRX Series season. He will drive the 15 car and will hope to better his fifth-place finish at Knoxville.

Ryan Hunter-Reay

The 2014 Indy 500 champion will make his SRX Series debut this season and race in all six races for the Stewart/Evernham-owned Series. He will take over the 1 car for the 2022 SRX Series season.

Greg Biffle

Greg Biffle will be back in the saddle for the SRX Series, this time on a full-time basis instead of a part-time schedule. The 69 car will be at every race with Biffle behind the wheel looking to get his first win that eluded him in 2021.
