It’s finally WrestleMania Week! The greatest spectacle in all of sports-entertainment is now a two-night spectacular event. For the first time ever, the pay-per-view card will be broadcast exclusively on Peacock. Peacock has paid a billion dollars to have WWE PPVs and be the home of the WWE Network going forward. WrestleMania will go down this Saturday and Sunday, April 10 and 11. The future of the WWE landscape could change drastically over the course of the event.
WrestleMania Betting Picks | Night 1
Tag Team Match: Bad Bunny & Damian Priest (-850) vs The Miz & John Morrison (+500)
Grammy artist Bad Bunny has taken to the ring and has been even better on the mic since he came to the WWE. This will be a lift-off match for Damian Priest’s career on the main roster and gives him the chance to take a big step forward. I don’t see how Miz and John Morrison win this match, so I am taking Bad Bunny & Priest as big favorites.
WrestleMania Picks: Bad Bunny and Damian Priest (-850)
Steel Cage Match: Braun Strowman (-500) vs Shane McMahon (+300)
I don’t see how Braun Strowman doesn’t completely dominate this Steel Cage Match unless something screwy happens beforehand. That being said, Shane McMahon is jumping off the cage at some point. That’s not a WrestleMania prediction but a guarantee. Take Strowman as the favorite.
WrestleMania Picks: Braun Strowman (-500)
Singles Match: Cesaro (-300) vs Seth Rollins (+200)
This should be a good match and my heart says it could go either way. My head, however, says otherwise. Cesaro has looked strong throughout the build-up and needs the win for his career going forward. Seth Rollins doesn’t need the win as badly, so I’ll again side with the favorite.
WrestleMania Picks: Cesaro (-300)
RAW Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (+250) vs A.J. Styles & Omos (-400)
This is Omos’ first match in the WWE. Being paired up with a guy like A.J. Styles is setting the bar high right out of the gates. The New Day surprised some people by winning the RAW Tag Team titles a couple of weeks ago on Raw, but I think it will be a short-lived reign. A.J. Styles & Omos should get the job done here.
WrestleMania Picks: A.J. Styles and Omos (-400)
WWE Championship Match: Bobby Lashley (+150) vs Drew McIntyre (-200)
This matchup could honestly go either way. WWE can keep the belt on Bobby Lashley and have him beat Drew McIntyre at the “Showcase of the Immortals”. This would only further legitimize his WWE championship reign after McIntyre had his WrestleMania moment last year. The WWE could also opt give the title back to McIntyre and act as if he never lost it. I am leaning towards the latter option with the fan-favorite regaining the belt.
WrestleMania Picks: Drew McIntyre (-200)
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks (+250) vs Bianca Belair (-400)
The main event of WrestleMania Night 1 is for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bianca Belair won the Women’s Royal Rumble to earn this opportunity, and WWE has done everything to make her look like the favorite coming in. Current champion Sasha Banks took two falls in the tag team title matches that the pair earned. Not what you want out of someone who is the champion. Bianca Belair (-400) reaches the top for the first time in her career.
WrestleMania Picks: Bianca Belair (-400)
WrestleMania Betting Picks | Night 2
Kevin Owens (-350) vs Sami Zayn (+225)
The Kevin Owens-Sami Zayn rivalry has had plenty of run-ins over the years. Now, it finally takes the main stage at WrestleMania. Zayn has not looked all that strong during this build and Owens is coming off of fighting for the Universal title. No way Zayn gets the victory, even with Logan Paul as his “honorary guest”.
WrestleMania Picks: Kevin Owens (-350)
Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E (+100) vs Apollo Crews (-140)
I have no idea what a Nigerian Drum Match is, but you’d figure it has to favor Crews in this scenario right? After all, he’s the one who chose this type of match and suddenly talks with a Nigerian accent. I guess we will all find out what the format entails during the match as Crews takes the Intercontinental Championship away from Big E.
WrestleMania Picks: Apollo Crews (-140)
United States Championship: Riddle (-150) vs Sheamus (+110)
Sheamus goes from fighting the former WWE champion in Drew McIntyre to fighting for the USA Championship in the span of one pay-per-view. A win here for Riddle would make the case for him as a legitimate main-eventer going forward. That is the exact direction I see WWE going, so I’ll side with the favorite.
WrestleMania Picks: Riddle (-150)
Randy Orton (+500) vs The Fiend (-950)
Yeah, those odds are just about right. If you honestly think Randy Orton is defeating The Fiend on Sunday at WrestleMania, then you may need some gambling help. That or you just haven’t been following WWE for the past year. The Fiend, burnt and all, will wipe the floor with the Apex Predator.
WrestleMania Picks: The Fiend (-950)
RAW Women’s Championship Match: Asuka (+250) vs Rhea Ripley (-400)
Asuka’s reign as RAW Women’s Champion has almost reached a full year after she won the title last April. Rhea Ripley just came up from NXT to join the main roster a few weeks ago. Normally I would say that the champion would retain in this scenario, but something about this match feels different. Ripley lost her NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania last year, and I feel like it will be the opposite this time around.
WrestleMania Picks: Rhea Ripley (-400)
Universal Championship Triple Threat Match: Roman Reigns (+150) vs Edge (+115) vs Daniel Bryan (+200)
Well, Daniel Bryan is going to be a part of yet another WrestleMania main event that he really should not be a part of. Edge won the Royal Rumble, therefore this should be his match. I have to believe that WWE made this a triple threat in order to have Bryan take the fall. Why? Because Roman Reigns isn’t getting the win, but it would go against company policy to have him lose on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”. Edge will capture his first world title in ten years.
WrestleMania Picks: Edge (+115)
