The athletes in the Winter Olympics village used up the entire condom supply in the first days of the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games.
Athletes at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics have been active to start the Olympic Games. We always hear about how sex-crazy it can be in the Olympic Village, with many of the world’s hottest and most physically-gifted athletes coming together to compete in what they have dedicated their entire lives to. With this year’s Games being in Italy, we knew this would be the case once again.
However, a bit of a problem arose early in the Olympic Games. You see, the athletes used the entire supply of condoms at the 2026 Winter Olympics almost immediately. There weren’t even any left for Valentine’s Day!
Winter Olympics Condoms Shortage 2026
We have already heard about the penis enhancement scandal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, so the news of a condom shortage really should not have surprised us as much as it has. When you really break down the number of condoms in the Olympic Village and how many they went through, it is pretty wild. And the fact that the Olympic condom supply ran out in just three days is even more while, for both the Olympians and the host country of Italy.
It was reported that fewer than 10,000 condoms were made available in the Olympic Villages. In total, there are 2,871 athletes in Italy for the 2026 Winter Games. There should have been more available, but to run out in three days? Damn! There are going to be some incredible athletes conceived in Italy.
“We can confirm that condom supplies in the Olympic Villages were temporarily depleted due to higher-than-anticipated demand,” said the Milan Cortina Olympics organizing committee. “Additional supplies are being delivered and will be distributed across all Villages…They will be continuously replenished until the end of the Games to ensure continued availability.”
How Many Condoms Are At the Olympics Usually?
Yes, the athletes went through an incredible number of condoms in a hilariously short period of time. But remember, these are the best athletes in the world, and they have seen the same women’s skeleton athletes that we have. Skeleton racer backed this notion up: “Incredibly good-looking [athletes], perfect bodies, tight Spandex… of course there’s gonna be some hooking up! Would you expect anything else!?”
While 10,000 condoms for 2,871 Olympic athletes is a ton, this does not come close to what we have seen. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, there were a little more than 10,500 athletes competing and approximately 300,000 condoms were handed out. If the 2026 Winter Games went through 10,000 in three days, we could see these athletes push for a similar pace.
Giving out free condoms in Olympic Village began at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul to raise awareness among athletes and young people about sexually transmitted disease prevention.
