Cannonier vs. Strickland Preview
Cannonier (15-6) appeared for the first time in a title match against the former middleweight kingpin, Israel ‘The Last Stylebender” Adesanya in July at UFC 276. The Killa Gorilla was unable to slow down Adesanya during the fight and suffered a unanimous decision loss. He would like to get things going straight in his favor when he faces the lunatic, Strickland this Saturday.
On the other hand, Strickland didn’t have a happy out last time as he was left on the floor reeling in the first round of the fight against the new Middleweight champ, Alex Pereira at UFC 276. Strickland was sent crashing to the canvas after the Brazilian beast landed his favorite left hook. Before that, Strickland was on a six-fight winning streak and was considered most likely to take the belt away from the champion. But it wasn’t meant to happen. He will have another chance to put himself on the right path one more time when he meets the Killa Gorilla in the middle of the octagon.
