The Oscars ceremony has returned for the first time since the Will Smith slap incident. This year, few changes have been made in the process of announcing winners and in other matters. All 23 categories will be presented live after facing backlash from professionals for the pre-tape method.

The coveted Oscars award is given after a thorough process as over 10,000 members of the Academy vote over a long period of four months, and then final voting, which took place from March 2 to March 7 this year.
