Three options for week 7 NFL Survivor Pool Picks, including the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers.
Through the first six weeks of the NFL season, there have been a number of crazy games and memorable moments that have made NFL Survivor picks somewhat difficult. If you are new to Survivor Pool picks, the concept is that you pick one winner each week, but cannot repeat a team during the season. If the team that you pick loses, then you are out of your pool, so choose your week 7 NFL survivor pool picks wisely.
If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week,” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick of the week.”
The “lock” details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This will most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup. It may be worth it to look at the NFL betting odds for these games and place some bets as well.

Lock of the Week | Best Pick for NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 7
Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs open Week 7 as one of the heaviest favorites, with a 12.5-point spread. That comes on the back of the Chiefs looking like they are back in Super Bowl form after a 30-17 beatdown of the Detroit Lions. At just the right time, too, the Chiefs are welcoming back Rashee Rice. With Rice back in the offense, the Chiefs will instantly get an upgrade to an offense that has struggled at times this season. With Rice, the Chiefs offense should open up the middle of the field with a nice high-low combination with Travis Kelce. Having another receiving threat should, in theory, open the run game, as the Raiders will need to put more emphasis on stopping the pass.
As for the Raiders, there is nothing that really scares you on their offense as a Chiefs defender. With how bad the offensive line is in Las Vegas, there is virtually no threat of the run game beating you. Without a run game, it is hard for Geno Smith to settle in and not turn the ball over. With Brock Bowers not practicing early this week, it is hard to believe that if he somehow gets on the field, he will have a strong impact. The Raiders are just undermanned in this game, against a Chiefs team that looks like the best team in the league after last week.

New England Patriots vs Tennessee Titans
It is pretty funny to me that we spent the better part of 25 years hating the New England Patriots, and now that has shifted almost 180 degrees. Drake Maye is awesome, and New England looks like a surprise playoff team. With Mike Vrabel, the Patriots have turned into the NFL’s darling team this season. In Week 7, they open as 6.5-point favorites against the Tennessee Titans. Even though the Titans picked up a win over the Cardinals a couple of weeks back, this team is still one of the worst in the NFL. Cam Ward still has a long way to go to be the quarterback that Tennessee drafted him to be. The issue with the Titans right now is that they don’t have a lot of playmakers and weapons around Ward.
In comes the New England Patriots. Even though everyone wants TreVeyon Henderson to start at running back, Josh McDaniels has almost never employed a workhorse back in his scheme. That gives a good mix with Rhamondre Stevenson. With Maye’s rushing ability, the Patriots have a variety of ways to attack you on the ground. That sets up a passing game that has been led by Stefon Diggs, who looks like he is 28 again, and Hunter Henry, who has become one of the more reliable receiving options in the NFL for a young quarterback. The Patriots have a strong argument for Lock of the Week, but with the Browns and Jets coming up on the schedule, I am saving them.

Carolina Panthers vs New York Jets
Don’t look now, but the Carolina Panthers are on a two-game win streak and are currently sitting at 3-3 on the season. They have an opportunity to get above .500 with a great matchup against the winless New York Jets this week. Sitting as 1.5-point favorites, the Panthers have the opportunity to build on a great win over the Cowboys. Bryce Young continues to progress this season, as he finished last week’s game with three touchdown passes. Tetairoa McMillan is starting to look like a dominant receiver in this league. On top of that, the Panthers should get Jalen Coker back this week, as he is practicing in full. One other thing that is working for the Panthers is the run game. Rico Dowdle looks great as the lead back, while Chuba Hubbard is back as a limited participant in practice. All of a sudden, the Panthers look like they have an offense that can somewhat compete.
As for the Jets, the idea of a competitive offense is not in the cards. Justin Fields is not an NFL-level passer, throwing for just 45 yards last week. As a Jets fan, it is hard to believe that this team is going to score more than two touchdowns on any given week. If they are put into spots where they have to come from behind using the pass, they aren’t going to win the game. Derrick Brown and the Panthers’ defense have been somewhat stingy against the run this season, giving up just 483 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. The Panthers should be able to get up in this game, and the Jets just can’t play from behind. Fields is not good enough to.
