Taking a look at the best low-owned fantasy football streamers at defense for NFL Week 7, including the Kansas City Chiefs!
In case anyone hasn’t noticed, there is a lot of bad football being played around the NFL. With six weeks of action in the books, fantasy managers are getting a pretty good idea of which teams have good defenses and which offenses are worth fading. Despite this, finding defense fantasy football streamers for Week 7 might be a bit trickier than expected. Not to worry, though, as there are still several solid options on the board! That’s the joy of streaming the DST position though — we get to reassess and handpick our defense to take advantage of this bad football weekly!
Given that so much of the DST position is predicated on forcing turnovers and generating sacks, streaming the position weekly to attack the best matchups is arguably the most surefire way to achieve consistent success. Let’s have a look at our favorite defense fantasy football streamers for Week 7. Be sure to also check out our Week 7 fantasy football rankings!
Note: Players must be owned in less than 60% of ESPN leagues to be included in the best defense fantasy football streamers column.
Week 7 Defense Fantasy Football Streamers
Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy DST (47.4%)
They’re baaacccckkkkk!!! Rashee Rice returns this week, Patrick Mahomes is suddenly a dual-threat quarterback and the Kansas City Chiefs are once again dialed in defensively. Can you say “1-seed in the AFC”??? We’ll save the playoff projections for another day. What we will do here is tout the Chiefs as one of the best defense fantasy football streamers for Week 7. With six total takeaways and 13 sacks through the first six weeks, the Kansas City DST has managed to score positive fantasy points in every game. Steve Spagnuolo’s unit quietly ranks 13th in fantasy scoring at the position.
Mind you, the solid start and continuous improved play from this defense has come against a pretty difficult schedule to date. The Chiefs will get a much easier task in Week 7, at least based on what we’ve seen thus far, when they host the division rival Las Vegas Raiders. Geno Smith has been a walking interception, throwing ten balls to the opposing team through the first six games. He has also been sacked 18 times, and the two dubious stats working together are a big reason why the Raiders have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.
Despite all of the promise that this week’s matchup presents, the Chiefs remain available to pick up and stream in over 55% of ESPN leagues. Don’t walk, but run to take advantage!

Cleveland Browns Fantasy DST (55%)
The Cleveland Browns continue to be one of the more interesting teams to monitor when it comes to the DST position in fantasy. From a pure football standpoint, the Browns are one of the best defenses in football. With the QB carousel that continues to revolve on the other side of the ball, strong defensive play has been the only thing keeping the Browns competitive. Through six weeks, they sit atop the NFL in defensive EPA/rush and are 13th in overall EPA/play. Despite tallying seven fantasy points or more in three games so far, Cleveland has actually experienced an ownership decline of more than 7% from last week to the time of writing.
One has to assume that the loss of interest in the Browns is due to their inability to generate any sacks or takeaways in last week’s game. I chalk this more up to the smart minds in Pittsburgh than anything Jim Schwartz’s group did wrong. It’s even more fascinating that this drop has transpired ahead of a very favorable home matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
Miami enters the week allowing an average of 6.50 fantasy points to opposing defenses. Last week was not a good one for Tua Tagovailoa. After throwing three interceptions and being sacked twice, he acted a fool at the podium and blamed teammates and players only meetings instead of taking accountability. Not to mention the Dolphins really only have two solid offensive weapons in the absence of Tyreek Hill. Things could really come off the rails for Miami over the coming weeks, and the Browns are in a prime spot to take advantage as a fantasy football streamers option on Sunday.
Chicago Bears Fantasy DST (7.7%)
If not for a fourth-quarter meltdown back in Week 1, the Chicago Bears could very well be off to a 4-1 start. An early bye week enabled the Bears to get healthier, and the defense looked the part on Monday night. Chicago forced three turnovers and sacked Jayden Daniels twice in an impressive road win at Washington. Aside from a Week 2 debacle at the hands of Detroit, the Bears’ DST has now tallied at least eight fantasy points in every game. The unit also ranks tenth in defensive EPA/play, a good sign that the strong start is not a fluke.
In Week 7, Chicago will be the latest to match up against a New Orleans Saints offense that continues to be a regular fade in this defense fantasy football streamers column. To the Saints’ credit, they have done a decent job of limiting the damage that opposing defenses have done from a fantasy scoring perspective. That said, they rank just 25th in EPA/play offensively and continue to struggle to sustain drives and score points. Such is expected with Spencer Rattler at QB and a lack of game-changers at the skill positions on offense.
Add it all up and we’ll look for the Bears to continue riding their wave of momentum at home this week. With a 93% availability, Chicago makes for a strong streaming option for those in deeper leagues.
