DFS is a funny thing because it’s just one week. You can keep away from injured players while taking advantage of their lost snaps. You can take advantage of matchups for just that one game, and you can take advantage of players who are cheaper just because they didn’t have a good previous week. With all this taken into thought, allow me to give you my bargain buys of Week 2.

Quarterbacks

Josh Allen, at NYG

DraftKings: $5,300|Fanduel: $7,500

The New York Giants gave up 405 passing yards and 4 TDs to Dak Prescott last week and didn’t show any defensive power to stop the pass. Obviously, Allen is going to get you rushing yards but even with a lackluster receiving core, Allen should be able to get the ball in the endzone more than twice. Because of all this, I’m saying at this price Allen should be in your DFS lineup.

Running Backs

Matt Breida, at CIN

DraftKings: $5,200|Fanduel: $5,600

The once crowded backfield of San Fran is now reduced to Breida. With playing the Bengals you should expect a bunch of running attempts to grind out the clock. I know they hung close with the Seahawks, but it was the product of 2 TDs from John Ross to do so and I would say that we won’t see that level of production here. The 49ers are in prime position to go 2-0 and I think they’ll lean on Breida (and Dante Pettis, but he is no bargain) to do so.

Adrian Peterson, vs. DAL

DraftKings: $3,400|Fanduel: $4,800

Dallas has a great set of Linebackers and a solid defensive line… but Peterson is so cheap it isn’t even funny. Peterson is cheaper than the top defenses on both websites, just for reference. He has already been named the starting back for Washington in the absence of Derrius Guice. While we can expect Chris Thompson to get the third-down/receiving touches it’s fair to assume Peterson should be looking at a 20+ carry night, possibly fighting to not be healthy scratched again.

Wide Receivers

Mecole Hardman, at OAK

DraftKings: $4,800|Fanduel: $4,700

Tyreke Hill is injured. Kansas City likes their deep threats, and after Sammy Watkins insane performance last week I highly doubt Jon Gruden will let him do the same against the Raiders. The only problem with Hardman is Demarcus Robinson is also a deep threat who could be the one to get the ball thrown his way. The reason why I say you should go after Hardman instead of Robinson is simply that the Chiefs have invested more into him instead of Robinson, thus making him more likely to get quality snaps.

Willie Snead IV, vs. ARI

DraftKings: $4,500|Fanduel: $5,000

Baltimore once again gets to play one of the worst teams in the NFL. While I believe the Cardinals won’t flop completely as the Dolphins did, I also don’t think they’re that great of a team. In the game against the Dolphins, we got to see Lamar Jackson be a quarterback and got to see Marquise Brown run, fast. While I don’t think the Cardinals defense without Patrick Peterson is good, I also don’t see them letting Brown get 4 receptions, 147 receiving yards, and 2 TDs. That’s the key. The Cardinals will likely force their attention towards Brown (and Mark Andrews) allowing Snead to run the field on them. Play Snead if you want a cheap receiver.

Tight Ends

Virgil Green, at DET

DraftKings: $2,700|Fanduel: $4,000

Hunter Henry is hurt, please hold your gasps. Mike Williams is hurt. This is a Charger team is going against injuries, a lot of injuries. While this is nothing new for Charger fans (if there are any) I do have to say their injured tight end and RedZone threat should open the doors for Green to have a very good game as the new starting tight end.
