If you are unaware what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 15 survivor picks wisely.

Last week, I sweated out a tough Arizona-Philadelphia game to keep my lock streak alive. With a 2-1 week, my record currently sits at 33-12 and 15-0 on locks. We are at the point in the season where most of the better teams are picked, so we will have to get creative and make our picks based upon matchups for the rest of the year.

Teams used for “Lock of the Week”

  • 1 – Buffalo Bills
  • 2 – San Francisco 49ers
  • 3 – Indianapolis Colts
  • 4 – Los Angeles Rams
  • 5– Pittsburgh Steelers
  • 6– Baltimore Ravens
  • 7– New Orleans Saints
  • 8– Kansas City Chiefs
  • 9– New England Patriots
  • 10– Green Bay Packers
  • 11– Cleveland Browns
  • 12– Seattle Seahawks
  • 13– Miami Dolphins
  • 14– Tennessee Titans
  • 15– Arizona Cardinals

Lock of the Week | Week 16 Survivor Picks

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lions

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a game out of the number one spot in the NFC South. In order to keep pace with the Saints, who just got Drew Brees back, the Bucs will need to continue to win games. A matchup against the Lions poses a situation that Tom Brady and the Buccaneers can take advantage of. This game should be a blowout. The Bucs will be able to play in the dome at Detroit without weather restrictions. This should allow Brady and the offense the conditions that they need in order to prove that they are one of the best offenses in the NFL. The Lions are currently dealing with COVID-19 issues and may be out their head coach this week. With Matt Stafford dealing with nagging injuries, the whole Lions team in general will have a tough Sunday. Look for the Buccaneers to blow out the Lions in a “get-right” game for Brady and company.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 16 Survivor Picks

Cleveland Browns at New York Jets

This is a game that will feature two teams who are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. The Jets finally got that monkey off of their back last week with a win over the Rams. The Jets are now out of the number one draft pick. They have nothing to play for. On the other hand, the Browns are in a very tight division race and need to win games for major playoff implications. The Jets got over the hump of not going winless and shouldn’t play as well as they did last Sunday. If I hadn’t used the Browns already, I would’ve take them as my lock of the week. Look for the Browns to handle the Jets and continue to make strides towards a division win.

High Risk High Reward | Week 16 Survivor Picks

Minnesota Vikings at Saints

The Minnesota Vikings are currently vying for a playoff spot. They are one game back of the Chicago Bears in the NFC North and one game out of the playoffs. The Vikings almost need to win to keep their season alive. The Saints are one of the best teams in the NFL, but Drew Brees did not look good on Sunday. He was missing throws and wasn’t getting the offense moving. If Kirk Cousins is able to make those short to intermediate throws that he has made a career on, as well as get Dalvin Cook going, the Vikings have a legitimate shot to upset the Saints. With Michael Thomas out, the Saints won’t have much to attack that bad secondary. Look for the Saints to lose a head scratcher to an inferior Vikings team.
