Week 15 Defense Fantasy Football Streamers
Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy DST (41.2%)
The Jaguars have taken over first place in the AFC South, and they continue to be an underrated asset when it comes to fantasy football defenses. Three forced turnovers, a sack and a safety last week saw the Jags post double-digit fantasy points at the D/ST position for the third time in the last four weeks. They now have six such performances on the season as a whole and quietly rank 12th in fantasy scoring at the position based on ESPN’s standard D/ST scoring rules. Jacksonville has been a ball-hawking defense all year long. It’s pretty impressive that a team quarterbacked by Trevor Lawrence is +8 in turnover differential!
As far as schedules at the position are concerned, managers will be hard-pressed to find a team with a better stretch in the Fantasy Football Playoffs than the Jaguars. That starts in Week 15 with a home game against a New York Jets squad that ranks just 27th in EPA/play offensively and has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. With Tyrod Taylor sustaining an injury last week and more than likely set to miss Sunday’s game, any hope the Jets’ offense had of being competent might be gone.
Looking beyond this week’s matchup, the Jaguars have road tilts against the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts in Weeks 16 and 17, respectively. The Broncos have a knack for playing to the level of their competition, and the Colts are in shambles after losing Daniel Jones for the season to injury. Thus, Jacksonville could very well be a defense that you ride throughout the Fantasy Football Playoffs if better options aren’t available beyond Week 15.
San Francisco 49ers Fantasy DST (22.8%)
The fact that the 49ers have held it together defensively after losing both Nick Bosa and Fred Warner to season-ending injuries early on in the campaign is a huge testament to Robert Saleh and the coaching staff. Of course, the lack of game-wrecking talent has hampered the upside of this unit from a fantasy football streamers standpoint. San Francisco ranks just 27th in fantasy scoring at the D/ST position through 14 weeks. However, in the two games prior to their Week 14 bye, the 49ers’ defense allowed just 17 total points and posted back-to-back double-digit fantasy outputs.
As we turn the page to the Fantasy Football Playoffs, the 49ers suddenly stand out as a quality streaming option to ride. In the immediate future lies a matchup against a terrible Tennessee Titans offense that ranks 31st in EPA/play and has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. Last week’s breakout game on the ground for Tony Pollard continues to defy conventional wisdom, especially given that it came against a formidable Cleveland defense. The only thing that would be a bigger shock is if the Titans achieve similar success on the road this week.
One has to believe that the 49ers will be a bit more buttoned up against the run after watching last week’s game. Meanwhile, Cam Ward and the Titans’ passing attack continue to strike fear into no one. Managers who opt to stream the Niners this week could very well buy a second week from them if needed as well. What once looked like a massive Week 16 showdown at Indianapolis now perhaps presents another favorable defensive matchup with the Colts scrambling at QB.
Chicago Bears Fantasy DST (13.3%)
First off, a quick disclaimer: the Bears’ defense is not very good. However, this unit has managed to keep its head above water in the vast majority of weeks from a fantasy scoring standpoint, thanks to forcing 27 turnovers on the season. A +17 turnover margin is what has helped Chicago win numerous close games and is the main reason why many believe this team’s record is fugazi. Nonetheless, the Bears will continue to offer some upside at the D/ST position if they can continue their ball-hawking ways.
While it would be foolish to bank on a defense forcing turnovers when considering fantasy football streamers options, the Bears may not need to come up with a ton of big plays to post a solid score in Week 15. This is thanks to a matchup against the Cleveland Browns and Shedeur Sanders, who, to his credit, played pretty darn well last week. However, that effort came against the lowly Tennessee Titans. This is still a Browns offense that ranks 30th in EPA/play and continues to sputter more often than not. Cleveland has ceded the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses.

Other Defense Fantasy Football Streamers to Consider
With the Fantasy Football Playoffs now upon us, considering some extra options and looking ahead to future weeks is worth your time! The defenses listed below could be streamed in Week 15 matchups if they happen to be available in your league. Additionally, they offer upside in future weeks as well for those already peeking ahead to the semifinals of the fantasy playoffs.
Philadelphia Eagles (59.7%)
We highlighted the Eagles in last week’s defense fantasy football streamers column as much for the upside they have in the fantasy playoffs as for what they had right in front of them in Week 14. Philadelphia’s ownership spiked but it remains just under 60% in ESPN leagues prior to Week 15 waivers processing. The Eagles have as good a matchup as one could hope for this coming Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders and another solid opportunity in Week 16 against the Washington Commanders.
Kansas City Chiefs (23.8%)
The Chiefs’ backs are firmly pressed against the wall as far as their playoff hopes are concerned. Any chance that remains requires winning out, and that starts with a home game this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Justin Herbert playing through injury and the Bolts’ being down their two best offensive linemen, Kansas City could be an unheralded streaming option this week. They also face Tennessee in Week 16 which clearly offers future value.
New Orleans Saints (4.8%)
From a schedule and matchup standpoint, few teams have a better overall outlook in the Fantasy Football Playoffs than the Saints. This week, they get Bryce Young and the inconsistent Carolina Panthers at home. That will be followed by games against the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans in Weeks 16 and 17, respectively. It certainly would take some onions to do so, but riding the Saints’ defense throughout the fantasy playoffs is actually a plausible strategy.
