This wacky 2020 NFL season continues to deliver. No one has had much in the way of nice things to say about the NFC East this year. Thanks to massive road upsets by both the New York Giants and Washington Football Team, that narrative just might be changing. Those two results combined with some other notable outcomes have led to some massive movement in the top 10 of the FlurrySports Week 14 NFL Power Rankings. Read on to find out where your team sits with just four weeks remaining in the regular season.

Week 14 NFL Power Rankings

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Week 13 Ranking: 1

The Chiefs failed to cover against the division rival Broncos on Sunday night, but the margin would’ve been greater had Tyreek Hill’s insane catch been correctly overturned for a touchdown. Pittsburgh’s loss puts the crucial No. 1 seed back into play. Outside of an inconsistent rushing attack, Kansas City is showing minimal signs of weakness in their bid to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

2. New Orleans Saints

Week 13 Ranking: 3

In last week’s DVOA NFL power rankings article, it couldn’t go unnoticed that the Saints are the best team in the league when it comes to overall efficiency while also ranking in the top five across all three individual phases. Taysom Hill has filled in admirably for Drew Brees, and New Orleans boasts a defense that is better than any they’ve had in their recent run of success. Sean Payton’s squad are the NFC favorites in my eyes at this juncture.

3. Green Bay Packers

Week 13 Ranking: 4

Packers fans are still none too pleased with the decision to draft Jordan Love in the first round. Whether the draft pick had anything to do with it or not, Aaron Rodgers has taken his play to another level this season. Green Bay is running away with the NFC North and is keeping the pressure on New Orleans for the crucial top seed and playoff bye. The defense is still difficult to trust, but Rodgers and Co. continue to move the Pack up in the Week 14 NFL power rankings.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 13 Ranking: 2

The Steelers got caught napping and suffered their first loss of the 2020 season on Monday to Washington. While the 1972 Miami Dolphins can once again breathe easy, Pittsburgh turns the page to a crucial road matchup at Buffalo this week. Pittsburgh struggles mightily to run the ball offensively. With Bud Dupree joining Devin Bush on the list of Steelers defensive stars that are lost for the season, it’s fair to question if there will be a drop-off.

5. Los Angeles Rams

Week 13 Ranking: 6

The Rams have taken on the feel of a bi-polar team of late, looking great both this past Sunday and in Week 11 while sandwiching a dismal home game in between. At 8-4, L.A. is holding down the top spot in the NFC West by virtue of tiebreakers over the Seahawks. It’s a quick turnaround this week for Sean McVay’s squad as the Patriots come to town for a Thursday night tilt.

6. Buffalo Bills

Week 13 Ranking: 10

Their adjusted numbers may not be great, but the Bills just keep right on winning. An impressive beatdown of the 49ers on Monday Night Football has led Buffalo to make one of the biggest jumps in the Week 14 NFL power rankings. The defense has been playing better than early in the year. If the Bills can figure out some sort of consistent rushing attack to complement Josh Allen, look out.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 13 Ranking: 8

Tom Brady and the Bucs got a much-needed bye in Week 13. They’ll look to snap a two-game skid this weekend against the surging Vikings in a game with critical NFC Wild Card implications as the postseason race heats up.

8. Indianapolis Colts

Week 13 Ranking: 9

The Colts were fortunate to force a red zone turnover in and thwart a Texans drive late in their AFC South victory on Sunday. Tennessee’s loss leaves the two teams deadlocked atop the division coming down the stretch. Outside of a Week 16 game against Pittsburgh, the Colts schedule sets up nicely for them to continue rising up the Week 14 NFL power rankings.

9. Seattle Seahawks

Week 13 Ranking: 5

It’s never a good thing to lose at home as a double-digit favorite. It’s even worse when said loss comes to a team that’s starting Colt McCoy at quarterback. The struggles continued for Russell Wilson and the Seattle offense on Sunday. On the bright side, a healthy matchup against New York’s other team in Week 14 provides as good an opportunity as any to get right.

10. Cleveland Browns

Week 13 Ranking: 12

Their metrics aren’t good and I’m still very wary of the defensive secondary, but I can’t help but slide the Browns into the top ten of the Week 14 NFL power rankings after their impressive road win over the Titans. Baker Mayfield was fantastic, and Cleveland is playing with an edge. They are all but ensured of locking down the franchise’s first postseason appearance since 2002.

11. Tennessee Titans

Week 13 Ranking: 7

On the other side of that massive Browns’ win was a major disappointment for the Titans. Tennessee’s defense remains a major cause for concern as we hit the season’s stretch run.

12. Baltimore Ravens

Week 13 Ranking: 11

It was a triumphant return for Lamar Jackson on Tuesday night. But let’s be real here: the Ravens will face stiffer competition than the Cowboys down the stretch.

13. Miami Dolphins

Week 13 Ranking: 13

Ugly wins are wins, and that was precisely what the Dolphins put together on Sunday. Miami continues to nip at the heels of the Bills in the AFC East, but can they truly make a run with Tua Tagovailoa playing QB?

14. Las Vegas Raiders

Week 13 Ranking: 15

A last-second Hail Mary heave from Derek Carr fell perfectly into the arms of Henry Ruggs and allowed the Raiders to escape the Meadowlands with a win over the Jets. Uninspiring, but they remain in contention in the crowded AFC.

15. New England Patriots

Week 13 Ranking: 16

Bill Belichick’s team appears to be hitting stride at the perfect time as they attempt to run down an AFC postseason spot. Thursday’s matchup against the Rams will be a major measuring stick.

16. Minnesota Vikings

Week 13 Ranking: 17

The Vikings managed to survive the Jaguars in overtime to surpass the Cardinals in both the Week 14 NFL power rankings and in the NFC playoff picture.

17. Arizona Cardinals

Week 13 Ranking: 14

Arizona is trending in the wrong direction, with Sunday’s divisional loss being the latest setback. There are valid concerns on both sides of the ball and I’m not convinced Kliff Kingsbury is the head coach who’s going to turn the tide down the stretch.

18. San Francisco 49ers

Week 13 Ranking: 18

Even with Monday’s loss, the 49ers are still clinging to life in the NFC postseason race. Kyle Shanahan’s club is as healthy as it’s been since the first quarter of the season and has very winnable matchups the rest of the way.

19. Washington Football Team

Week 13 Ranking: 23

Washington may have pulled off the upset of the year when they knocked the Steelers from the unbeaten ranks as they remained firmly entrenched in the NFC East race. With Ron Rivera as the coach and Alex Smith as the QB, how can you not help but pull for this team?

20. Houston Texans

Week 13 Ranking: 19

Even without two key difference makers in Will Fuller and Bradley Roby, Deshaun Watson nearly orchestrated an upset of the Colts. Nearly isn’t good enough though, and Houston is no longer in position to run down a postseason spot.

21. New York Giants

Week 13 Ranking: 26

The Giants are in the driver’s seat to win the NFC East for the first time since 2011 and continue to rise in the Week 14 NFL power rankings. He won’t win Coach of the Year, but Joe Judge deserves heaps of praise for his work during this, his first season as the Giants’ head man.

22. Carolina Panthers

Week 13 Ranking: 20

Fresh off a Week 13 bye, the Panthers will welcome back Christian McCaffrey for this week’s contest against the Broncos.

23. Atlanta Falcons

Week 13 Ranking: 21

The Falcons defense has steadily improved throughout the season while the offense has trended in the opposite direction. Raheem Morris will look to finish out the season strong and potentially land the team’s head coaching gig beyond 2020.

24. Detroit Lions

Week 13 Ranking: 27

After the Bears rallied late to stun Detroit in Week 1, the Lions flipped the script on Sunday. Matthew Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

25. Philadelphia Eagles

Week 13 Ranking: 24

The offensive woes continue in Philadelphia. Carson Wentz was pulled from Sunday’s game in favor of Jalen Hurts, who has been announced as the Week 14 starter. It’s probably too late to chase down an NFC East title though.

26. Chicago Bears

Week 13 Ranking: 22

To paraphrase FlurrySports’ Zach Brunner on one of last week’s live streams, the Bears’ defense is “having the soul sucked out of it.” Matt Nagy is toast at season’s end.

27. Denver Broncos

Week 13 Ranking: 28

Give the Broncos credit for going into Arrowhead and putting up a fight in primetime. A chest full of young talent signals a bright future.

28. Los Angeles Chargers

Week 13 Ranking: 25

I’ve tried to vouch for Anthony Lynn and the Chargers all year because I truly believe they are a talented team. After Sunday’s pathetic showing, I’ve had enough. Down the Week 14 NFL power rankings they go.

29. Dallas Cowboys

Week 13 Ranking: 29

Mike McCarthy is not cut out to be an NFL head coach. That is all.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars

Week 13 Ranking: 30

The Jags came oh so close for the second straight week with Mike Glennon under center. A reincarnation of MinshewMania down the stretch of the season would be as good as any gift you’ll find under the Christmas tree.

31. Cincinnati Bengals

Week 13 Ranking: 31

Tyler Boyd’s long touchdown and scuffle with Xavien Howard is about all that’s keeping the Bengals relevant lately.

32. New York Jets

Week 13 Ranking: 32

The decision to run an all-out blitz and leave his corners in single coverage cost Gregg Williams his job. It also may have preserved the Jets’ rights to the No. 1 overall draft pick as they remain at the bottom of the Week 14 NFL power rankings.
