Week 13 Fantasy Football Streamers at TE

Jordan Reed, SF (vs. BUF)

Jordan Reed, who is owned in 15% of ESPN leagues, needs to fill a huge spot left by George Kittle. Now, obviously Reed is no Kittle, but he has the ability to be a big athletic target for Nick Mullens. It’s obvious that San Francisco wants to run the ball often and early. This just sets up the play action. For Mullens to complete high percentage passes, Reed will need to be used. Reed has always caused matchup problems; this is the case here as well, as the Bills don’t have good enough defensive backs or linebackers to stop Reed’s receiving ability. Look for Reed to cash in on a solid week against an average Bills defense. He is a solid streamer at the position.

Jordan Akins, HOU (vs. IND)

With the loss of Will Fuller and Randall Cobb, Jordan Akins should immediately step up as a major part of this Houston offense. Deshaun Watson has traditionally relied upon his tight ends. Now that Akins is healthy, those passes will be going to him as opposed to Fells. Akins will have to be used in a receiving role this week, as he is the only vertical threat to catch the ball, other than Brandin Cooks. Even with a tough matchup, Akins should see plenty of targets as a bail out receiver for Watson. He is a sneaky streamer for this week and beyond.

Jared Cook, NO (vs. ATL)

Taysom Hill has to throw the ball at some point. With the Saints seemingly changing their offense into a power run, teams are going to key in on Hill and Latavius Murray. This opens the door for Jared Cook to work the middle of the field and provide Hill with someone who will be open on safe passes. Especially against a bad Atlanta passing defense, Cook has potential to see a flurry of targets that could very well result in a double-digit touchdown day for him.
