If you are unaware what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 12 survivor picks wisely.

I tested fate last week and picked the Browns as my lock of the week. This worked out in my favor as I am still undefeated on my locks of the week. With a 2-1 week, my record currently sits at 25-8 and 11-0 on locks. We are at the point in the season where most of the better teams are picked, so we will have to get creative and make our picks based upon matchups for the rest of the year.

Teams used for “Lock of the Week”

  • 1 – Buffalo Bills
  • 2 – San Francisco 49ers
  • 3 – Indianapolis Colts
  • 4 – Los Angeles Rams
  • 5– Pittsburgh Steelers
  • 6– Baltimore Ravens
  • 7– New Orleans Saints
  • 8– Kansas City Chiefs
  • 9– New England Patriots
  • 10– Green Bay Packers
  • 11– Cleveland Browns

Lock of the Week | Week 12 Survivor Picks

Seattle Seahawks vs Philadelphia Eagles

When was the last time that a division leader was a six point home underdog? That just goes to show how bad the NFC East has been this year. After two tough divisional games, including a loss to the Rams and before that a thrashing by the Bills, this is a “get-right” game for Seattle. Seattle should be able to move the ball at will against Philadelphia and give Russell Wilson a shot to throw for over 350 yards. The matchups of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will be too much for the Eagles secondary to handle. On the offensive side of the ball, Carson Wentz has been struggling of lately. If Wentz makes the dumb mistakes that we’ve become accustomed to, then Wilson will have too many chances to score. Make the easy pick and take Seattle to stay alive in your survivor pool.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 12 Survivor Picks

Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets

The Miami Dolphins are probably a better team when no one is talking about them. Coming into last week, the hype was starting to build up surrounding the Dolphins. What did they do last week? They only scored 13 points against the Denver Broncos. Miami is currently one game behind Buffalo for the lead of the AFC East. Miami defense has been very underrated this season and been able to keep them in games. Tua Tagovailoa has been able to slowly develop and understand NFL defenses, due to Miami’s defense playing well. In this divisional matchup against the Jets, look for Miami to keep riding their defense and churn out a win in a low scoring affair.

High Risk High Reward | Week 12 Survivor Picks

Los Angeles Chargers vs Buffalo Bills

Justin Herbert looks like one of the greatest rookie quarterbacks of all time. The win column hasn’t shown that, but that isn’t his fault. Herbert knows how to play the quarterback position in the NFL, even if his coach doesn’t know how to coach. Matched up against a “hard to read” Bills team that needs a win to stay ahead in the division, the Chargers should be in full force. With Anthony Lynn’s seat getting hotter, it seems like this is the game that can save his job if he wins. Buffalo’s defense hasn’t looked as good as everyone thought it was going to at the beginning of the year, opening the door for Herbert to work his magic. In this matchup of young star quarterbacks, look for the Chargers to come away with the upset due to them having more firepower on offense.
