Taking a look at the best Week 12 NFL Survivor Pool Picks, including the Seattle Seahawks.
If you are unaware of what NFL Survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 12 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.
If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week,” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick of the week.”
The “lock” details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This will most likely be a good team that plays a bad team.

Seattle Seahawks vs Tennessee Titans
One strategy of mine this season has been choosing my “Lock of the Week” as the team that plays the Tennessee Titans, and that has worked every time I have done it. That strategy once again plays this week, as the Seattle Seahawks are the next team that Cam Ward and the boys will match up against. The Seahawks open the week as 13.5-point favorites and for good reason. Seattle has been one of the better teams in the NFL this season, and on the flip side, the Titans have been one of the worst teams in the league. The defense has been the story for the Seahawks this season, as it is built with big, physical and fast players. Even though they lost last week, the Seahawks held Matt Stafford and that potent Rams offense to just 21 points. When looking at Ward and the Titans offense, it is obviously a step down. With suspect receivers, running game, and offensive line play, Ward will have to play “hero ball” in this game for the Titans to win, and at this point in his career, I don’t think he is capable of doing so.
Then comes the Seahawks offense. I truly believe that Seattle has one of the best skill-player corps in the NFL. Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet are one of the better one-two punches in the NFL that play off of each other perfectly. In the receiving game, Jaxon Smith-Njigba looks like the best receiver in the NFL. Include Rashid Shaheed, who now gives Seattle a downfield threat, and AJ Barner, who quietly has had a solid season, and you see that someone is always going to be open, as you can’t double everyone. Then there is Sam Darnold. Outside of last week, Darnold has taken care of the ball and played well. This Seahawks team is much better than the Titans, and at this point in the season, I am not sure how much the Titans want to win this game to better their odds for the number one pick.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 12 NFL Survivor Pool Picks
Baltimore Ravens vs New York Jets
Usually, in my “Value Pick of the Week” section of the article, I opt for a middle-of-the-pack team that has a good matchup. While that technically is true with the Ravens in this matchup, we know that Baltimore is better than the average team. So, I guess this is kind of cheating, but whatever. There is no doubt in my mind that the Ravens are the better team in this game and will show it. A once star-studded Jets defense now kind of looks like a former shell of itself. Their two biggest stars, Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, are gone, so that defense does not really scare you much anymore. Last week, TreVeon Henderson was able to beat the Jets by himself, scoring three touchdowns. If Henderson is doing that, imagine what Derrick Henry can do. That really feels like a game where the Ravens will run all over the Jets. I would not be surprised if Henry finishes with 125+ rushing yards in this game, especially with Lamar Jackson dealing with an ankle injury. Even with the injury, Jackson has shown his penchant for throwing from the pocket, so realistically, he won’t need to use his legs that much.
As far as the Jets offense goes, Tyrod Taylor will be starting this game. We have seen Taylor play a handful of times this season, and I have not liked what I have seen. Add on top of that the fact that the Ravens’ defense is healthy and playing as one of the better units in the NFL right now, and the Jets will be in for a long day. The Ravens will be able to stop Breece Hall in this game, and without a run game, I do not trust Taylor enough to lead them to a win, especially with Kyle Hamilton lurking on the other side. I am obviously choosing Baltimore, and if you are planning on using them as your lock, I am totally in favor of that. I just bent the rules a little bit to use them as my value, because I don’t love much else for my value.

Las Vegas Raiders vs Cleveland Browns
The Las Vegas Raiders open the game as four-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns this week. The Raiders are coming off a game on Monday night where they were embarrassed by the Dallas Cowboys. They have an easier opponent this week, with the Cleveland Browns. The big story of the game is that the Browns are starting Shedeur Sanders this week, and based on what we saw last week, there is a lot to be desired for Sanders. That plays perfectly into the Raiders’ hands, as Pete Carroll is at the helm. Using his defensive leadership, I am expecting that even with a suspect defense, Sanders is going to have a rough game in this one. The Raiders need to focus on stopping Quinshon Judkins and making Sanders uncomfortable. When that inevitably happens, the receiving corps does not scare you at all.
For the offense, with the Raiders, there was an obvious emphasis on getting the ball to Tre Tucker and Brock Bowers. Tucker was featured in specialized plays like tunnel screens. Getting him the ball in space is much more beneficial for the offense, as he can use his speed and his running skills to move the ball. With Brock Bowers, we know that he’s one of the better tight ends in the NFL. While I like the Browns’ young linebackers, I think the inexperience plays a factor here, as they are going to struggle to stick with Bowers. While neither of these teams is good, the Raiders’ experience at the quarterback and the head coach position gives them the edge in this game.
