QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick
FanDuel – $6,100
DraftKings – $4,900
In DFS, it is crucial to find value so you have the extra salary to pay up for your studs. Although going with Fitzpatrick this week is a little risky, I think he has a great shot at exceeding value and he gives us some room to fit in some of the higher-end players at running back and wide receiver. My favorite part about this pick is the narrative; Fitzpatrick played for the Jets in 2015 and 2016 and will definitely be looking to get some revenge on them after they opted to not re-sign him following the completion of his two-year deal. The Jets have allowed a league-high 19 touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks this year and have won just one out of their last four games. Mike Evans being out definitely hurts Fitzpatrick’s stock this week, but at this price, I feel comfortable using him in all formats.
RB: Leonard Fournette
FanDuel – $8,700
DraftKings – $8,400
After missing last week’s matchup versus the Bengals for violating team rules, Fournette finds himself in a great spot against the LA Chargers, who have allowed 4.7 YPC to opposing backs this season. Consistency has been the theme of Fournette’s season, as he has recorded a touchdown in every game that he has played in thus far and has reached the 100-yard mark in four out of his six contests. I would expect to see an angry Leonard Fournette out there because of his suspension and against one of the worst rush defenses in the league, he has a great chance to blow up this week.
WR: Golden Tate
FanDuel – $7,400
DraftKings – $6,800
There are so many wide receivers in great spots this week but Golden Tate has to be my favorite one. If the Browns have been good at one thing this year, it has been stopping the run. Fortunately for the Lions, they don’t run the ball! The 0-9 Browns have been getting stomped on all year and I do not expect that to change this week. A lot of people will be on Marvin Jones, but he is expected to see a lot of Jason McCourty, who has actually been very good this year. Coming out of the slot, Tate should see a lot of Briean Boddy-Calhoun, who has not been great, and I expect him to take advantage of this. Given the plus matchup and the high floor that Tate brings to every game, I love him this week, especially in cash games.
TE: Cameron Brate
FanDuel – $5,700
DraftKings – $4,100
With Mike Evans out for their Week 10 matchup versus the Jets, Cameron Brate should see an increase in targets. Brate has seen a healthy amount of looks all season long, but with their leading wide receiver out for this one, he has 10-target upside and remains as one of the deadliest red-zone threats on the team. The Jets have surrendered six touchdowns and 513 yards to opposing tight ends, which ranks them as the sixth-worst team against the position. Ryan Fitzpatrick starting this game actually helps Brate’s stock, as he will likely be using him as a safety blanket, and they connected on all four pass attempts last week when he came in for the injured Jameis Winston.
D/ST: Bears
FanDuel – $4,300
DraftKings – $3,000
The Bears are one of the cheaper defenses on both sites and are in a great position week 10 versus the Packers. Ever since Aaron Rodgers went down, the Packers have done nothing but struggle, losing three games in a row and failing to score over 17 points in any of those games. Brett Hundley has flat out stunk, recording just one passing touchdown and four interceptions in that span. The Bears, on the other hand, have recorded eight turnovers in their last three games and are coming off a bye week, which will give them extra time to prepare for the struggling Packers. At this price, I don’t see any reason to not roll with the Chicago Bears defense in DFS.
