Technically, there is no longer a true “halfway point” to the NFL regular season anymore. We can thank the addition of a 17th game for that. Am I the only one whose OCD is severely bothered by the odd number of games?? Please tell me I’m not alone don’t that! At any rate, Week 9 of the season kicks off tonight with a primetime AFC showdown between the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts. While there are plenty of ways to have betting action on this TNF contest, fans are also encouraged to check out the various Jets vs Colts NFL DFS picks and player props offered at Underdog Fantasy.

The following article provides a brief intro to the phenomenal Underdog Fantasy platform and offers up a handful of DFS picks and NFL player props to consider for the Jets vs Colts Thursday Night Football matchup.

What is Underdog Fantasy?

Underdog Fantasy might be most known for their live DFS drafts, but they also offer pick’em contests. In essence, making NFL DFS picks on Underdog combines daily fantasy sports and player props into one. Available to those in non-sports betting states, a wide variety of player props exist for tonight’s Jets vs Colts TNF matchup. The more props a user combines together, the greater their potential payout.

Unlike some other platforms in the market, Underdog Fantasy also allows users the flexibility to pick and choose which props they combine together. You can even combine DFS picks from multiple sports and games! When making Underdog Fantasy NFL picks, the only limitations are truly the user’s own imagination and creativity.

Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Payout

For the pick’em game format, users string player props together to form a parlay. If one pick is wrong, the entire fantasy football parlay fails. However, cashing can give a very nice payout, with more picks meaning a higher multiplier.

  • 2 Picks: 3x
  • 3 Picks: 6x
  • 4 Picks: 10x
  • 5 Picks: 20x

Best Underdog Fantasy DFS Picks for TNF | Jets vs Colts

Much like betting odds move and update throughout the day and week, props at Underdog Fantasy also move. In other words, if there is a prop you like, make sure you place it quickly.

Michael Carter (NYJ) Under 51.5 Rushing Yards

The fantasy football world has fallen in love with rookie Jets running back Michael Carter in recent weeks. On the surface, it appears to be for good reason. The former North Carolina standout ran for a career-high 77 yards in last week’s stunning upset win. He also found the end zone for the third straight game. Along with improving rushing numbers, Carter has been an impact player in the passing game. With backup quarterback Mike White under center, the Jets have utilized both of their RBs in pass-catching roles out of the backfield.

While Carter should be able to once again impact tonight’s Jets vs Colts matchup as a receiver, doing so on the ground will be much more difficult. Indianapolis enters Week 9 with the top defense in terms of adjusted metrics against the run, per Football Outsiders. The Colts held two of the league’s best rushing offenses in check the past two weeks. They were particularly impressive in limiting star Tennessee Titans back, Derrick Henry, to just 68 yards on 28 carries last Sunday. Carter is all but guaranteed to see far fewer than 28 rushing attempts tonight. On top of that, the Jets’ offensive line is also far less skilled than that of the Titans. The current Underdog Fantasy NFL DFS total of 51.5 yards would require Carter to post his third-highest yardage total of the season to go over. That’s a tall order and an unlikely one at that.

Nyheim Hines (IND) Over 14.5 Receiving Yards

We jump to the Colts’ backfield for our second NFL DFS prediction for this Jets vs Colts TNF contest. Not only is Nyheim Hines one of the best receiving RBs in the league, but he stands to benefit from an outstanding matchup this evening. The Jets’ defense has allowed 58 receptions to opposing running backs on the season and 533 receiving yards. Those totals are the fourth and second-most in the NFL, respectively. Making those poor rankings even worse is the fact that the Jets have already had their bye week and played one less game than most of the 32 teams.

In addition, the Colts are extremely thin at the wide receiver position after losing T.Y. Hilton to a concussion last Sunday. Hines figures to see a bump in his snap count and a steady role in the passing game this evening. Expect Carson Wentz to target him early and often and for this NFL DFS picks yardage prop to sail over.

Ty Johnson (NYJ) Over 40.5 Total Yards

Michael Carter hasn’t been the only Jets RB putting together some impressive NFL DFS stat lines in recent weeks. Ty Johnson has also proven to be a go-to target out of the backfield for Mike White. Despite playing just 32% and 29% of New York’s offensive snaps in the past two weeks respectively, Johnson has been extremely efficient when on the field. Most of his damage has come in the passing game, where he has finished with 65 and 71 yards in the past two games. The Jets will likely be trailing for the majority of tonight’s game. In addition, top wideout Corey Davis set to miss the contest with an injury. White will turn to both running backs frequently as pass-catchers once again. Johnson should have a solid receiving line to boost him over this NFL DFS picks total.

Bonus Underdog Fantasy DFS Pick for Thursday

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) Over 32.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

As discussed in the Underdog Fantasy overview, one of the beauties of this platform is the ability to combine DFS picks from multiple games and sports into one. If you are feeling lucky tonight and want to push for a bigger payout than the 6x offered on a combination of the three NFL DFS picks above, consider throwing in this basketball prop as well.

As the best player on a young and rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder team, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been putting up massive stat lines left and right to begin the NBA season. He has gone over tonight’s Underdog Fantasy prop total of 32.5 points, rebounds and assists in four of the last five games. This included a comeback win last week over the same Los Angeles Lakers team that OKC faces tonight. SGA piled up 27 points, nine boards and five assists in that contest. Given that he impacts the game in multiple so many different ways, Gilgeous-Alexander has a great chance of going over once this combined stats prop once again. Best of all, if this and the three Jets vs Colts TNF NFL DFS picks above all hit, you could be walking away with 10x your buy-in amount at the end of the night!
