We have a massive AFC West Division battle to kick off Week 15 of the NFL season on Thursday Night Football. The Kansas City Chiefs will aim to keep their six-game winning streak alive when they travel to SoCal to face the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs will also have revenge on their minds after L.A. got the best of them back in Week 3. A Chargers win tonight would allow them to take over first place in the division. The top overall seed in the AFC will also be impacted by the result of this Chiefs vs Chargers TNF showdown. If you are looking to have some skin in this marquee matchup, making NFL DFS picks on Underdog Fantasy is one of the best options available.
The following article provides a brief intro to the phenomenal Underdog Fantasy platform and offers up a handful of DFS picks and NFL player props to consider for the Chiefs vs Chargers Thursday Night Football matchup.
What is Underdog Fantasy?
Underdog Fantasy might be most known for their live DFS drafts, but they also offer pick’em contests. In essence, making NFL DFS picks on Underdog combines daily fantasy sports and player props into one. Available to those in non-sports betting states, a wide variety of player props exist for tonight’s Chiefs vs Chargers TNF matchup. The more props a user combines together, the greater their potential payout.
Unlike some other platforms in the market, Underdog Fantasy also allows users the flexibility to pick and choose which props they combine together. You can even combine DFS picks from multiple sports and games! When making Underdog Fantasy NFL picks, the only limitations are truly the user’s own imagination and creativity.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Payout
For the pick’em game format, users string player props together to form a parlay. If one pick is wrong, the entire fantasy football parlay fails. However, cashing can give a very nice payout, with more picks meaning a higher multiplier.

Much like betting odds move and update throughout the day and week, props at Underdog Fantasy also move. In other words, if there is a prop you like, make sure you place it quickly.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire Fantasy Pick: Over 70.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
Although the snap counts have been rather evenly split between Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams in the three games since the former returned from IR, the touches have not been. Edwards-Healire is clearly the lead back in Kansas City when healthy. He has recorded double-digit carries in each of the last three games despite never playing less than half of the team’s offensive snaps in two of those contests. He has also garnered multiple targets in the passing game in all three games since making his return.
With the knowledge that Edwards-Helaire is the lead RB in terms of touches, we have a tremendous NFL DFS picks opportunity tonight on Underdog Fantasy. CEH’s total yardage prop line of 70.5 is stunningly low. Along with a stable volume of work, Edwards-Helaire will be facing a Chargers defense that ranks dead last in adjusted efficiency against the run. Back in Week 3, he surpassed this yardage total on the ground alone, averaging 5.9 yards per carry in a 100-yard effort. There is plenty of evidence to support this over being among the best NFL DFS picks for this TNF contest.
Patrick Mahomes Fantasy Pick: Over 18.5 Rushing Yards
In a similar light to our first Chiefs vs Chargers NFL DFS prediction, Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes also figures to push past his prop line of 18.5 rushing yards in tonight’s game. The Chargers’ run defense has been bad across the board. By no means are their struggles limited solely to containing opposing RBs. In fact, Mahomes turned just four carries into 45 yards rushing when the two teams played back in Week 3. With L.A.’s strength defensively being their secondary and pass rush, Mahomes should have a handful of opportunities to make a play with his legs tonight.
Travis Kelce Fantasy Pick: Over 0.5 Receiving Touchdowns
Superstar Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has had the Chargers’ number going back several seasons. Although it has been a major struggle for him of late, tonight’s TNF matchup should help him break out of the slump. Kelce had one of his best games of the season against Los Angeles back in Week 3. He caught seven of 11 targets for 104 yards. The only thing missing from his NFL DFS line was a touchdown. That stat bucks the overall outlook for the Chargers defense on the season. Los Angeles is tied for the second-most receiving scores allowed to opposing TEs. Kelce is simply too talented to be held out of the end zone in two head-to-head matchups against the Bolts in the same season.
Jalen Guyton Fantasy Pick: Under 24.5 Receiving Yards
Former North Texas standout Jalen Guyton comes into tonight’s TNF matchup having scored touchdowns in each of the last two weeks. Guyton operates as the big-play specialist for the Chargers, evidenced by his 17.9 average yards per reception on the season. While a single big play in tonight’s game would be enough to send him over the NFL DFS line of 24.5 receiving yards, that will be easier said than done. Guyton was held without a catch on just one target in the Week 3 win over Kansas City. That matchup came back before Steve Spagnuolo’s defense had figured things out. The Chiefs now rank 15th in adjusted efficiency against the pass. Keenan Allen is also set to rejoin the Chargers’ lineup tonight after missing last week. Guyton will be facing an uphill battle to eclipse his yardage prop.
Justin Herbert Fantasy Pick: Over 0.5 Interceptions
The Chiefs’ rejuvenated defense comes into this TNF matchup having forced at least one interception in eight straight games. Funny how an increased number of takeaways has coincided with Kansas City stringing together a six-game winning streak. While Justin Herbert did not have a pick in the first meeting between these teams, he has thrown at least one INT in six of the last eight games. With lead running back Austin Ekeler expected to see reduced touches tonight, Herbert will have even more pressure to make plays through the air. This will be especially true if L.A. falls behind and Hebert has to force the issue in the second half. We’ll ride with the ball-hawking Chiefs secondary in our final NFL DFS picks selection.
Underdog Fantasy is a new type of DFS that combines the fun of season-long drafts with daily fantasy sports. Aside from their fun, addictive draft mode, Underdog Fantasy also has pick’em player props for many different sports and athletes!
