UFC 274 on Saturday, May 7th was a stacked, yet underwhelming fight card. Of course, the fight card also came with a bit of drama, with Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira being stripped of his title before the event and Donald Cerrone dropping out due to illness. The main event between Oliveira and Justin Gaethje was what everyone was truly tuning in for. And after first-round fireworks that resulted in Oliveira winning by submission, many have been asking how much did Justin Gaethje make? Let’s take a look at the UFC payouts from Saturday’s UFC 274 PPV.

UFC 274 Bonuses | UFC Payouts

Much like other events, UFC bonuses of $50,000 are given out. Both fighters in the Fight of the Night get a greater UFC payout, as do two fighters that get a Performance of the Night bonus. Also, we have a new fighter bonus called “Fan Bonus of the Night,” which I will explain below.

Fight of the Night: Brandon Royval vs Matt Schnell

Brandon Royval vs Matt Schnell promised fireworks, and boy did it deliver. The flyweight contenders were aggressive immediately. It took only 2:14 for Royval to submit Schnell with a guillotine choke.

Performance Bonuses: Michael Chandler and Andre Fialho

For those who watched the UFC 274 fight card, there was no doubt that Michael Chandler would be walking away with a performance bonus. While he said after that he didn’t train this front kick at all, it executed it as if he did. Right down Browdway, Chandler connected with a big frontkick to Tony Ferguson, knocking him out.

While VanCamp stunned Andre Fialho a bit, he made quick work of the newcomer. A check left hook at 2:35 in the first round ended up putting the lights out. Now, he is looking for more, wanting another fight soon.

Fan Bonus of the Night: Rose Namajunas, Michael Chandler, Charles Oliveira

As part of their partnership with Crypto.com, UFC PPVs will now be having an additional $60,000 in bonuses that are payable in Bitcoin. Fans vote on who they believe deserves the bonuses, which are split up between first ($30,000), second ($20,000) and third ($10,000) in the voting. UFC 273 was the first time these new bonuses were paid out.

The former Strawweight Champion lost her belt tonight in what was an absolute dud for fans. However, it seems like fans wanted to show some love after losing by a split decision, so she will walk away with $30,000 extra. Michael Chandler will also get another $20,000 in bonuses, while Charles Oliveira gets $10,000 of UFC 274 bonuses.

UFC 274 Promotional Guidelines Compliance Pay

Finally, we also have UFC 274 Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay. This program includes media obligations, outfitting requirements and other code of conduct factors.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s explanation, the payout tiers are broken down by the number UFC fights. Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

How Much Did Justin Gaethje Make? | Salary From UFC 274

In the main event of the night, Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira both came out hot. The two exchanged blows, which resulted in a cut on Oliveira, as well as Oliveira getting knocked down multiple times. Gaethje let him up, hoping to keep the fight upright.

Unfortunately, Oliveira finally got the fight to the mat, and he made quick work of Gaethje. Oliveira ended up winning by rear naked choke at 3:22. But after the loss in his hometown fight, many are asking row much did Justin Gaethje get paid?

There’s no doubt Gaethje will get a portion of the PPV buys. He will also get $32,000 from UFC 274 Promotional Guidelines Compliance Pay. For guaranteed salary, he will get about $300,000. So, despite the loss, Gaethje will walk away with UFC 274 payouts and bonuses of over $500,000, despite losing in just over three minutes.

As always, the official numbers will not be officially known, but these UFC payouts from UFC 274 on Saturday are a strong estimation.
