Strengths
One of the reasons Tyree Wilson is so special is due to his relentless motor. Even in run plays to the other side of the field, he never gives up on the play. His long wingspan allows him to make plays many others at his position can’t. Wilson has a decent swim move once in a while and has had multiple games where it seems he gets pressure on virtually every play. He also has good play recognition and can do a good job sealing the edge against slower-developing plays.
Weaknesses
For as much of a raw talent as Wilson is, he lacks that initial power at times and doesn’t have many pass-rush moves in his arsenal. He also can get too vertical often, which can lead him to be slow to react at times and lose contain against shifty backs. Wilson doesn’t have a great get-off, which puts him behind the eight ball compared to other edge rushers.
