When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Tyler Shough can throw the ball all over the field. He has outstanding arm talent and is capable of making any throw you ask. The deep ball is a thing of beauty, as all it takes is a flick to push the ball downfield. Shough is also a tall quarterback, helping to see the field with ease.
Weaknesses
Injuries are a big concern with Shough, after missing several games across multiple seasons. His decision-making is also not great. When he experiences pressure, this is made worse. If the play breaks down or if the pocket isn’t clean, there are few instances where he made a good play in college. He gets impatient, which isn’t great.

Tyler Shough Draft Projection | Expert 2025 NFL Mock Draft Projections
This Tyler Shough draft projection is taken from a late-March mock draft on ESPN. In this mock, Matt Miller has him getting selected in the second round, 33rd overall, by the Cleveland Browns. After passing on a quarterback in the first round, Miller projects Cleveland to lock down a cheap option at quarterback.
This team is currently in a bit of a purgatory, getting held hostage by Deshaun Watson’s contract while also paying top dollar for Myles Garrett. So, if the Browns can get solid quarterback play on a discount from Shough, it would be very much needed.
