Fantasy football Week 2 of the 2021-22 NFL season is nearly in the books. It was another wild NFL Sunday, filled with high-scoring affairs, insane upsets and historic performances. There were some monster Week 2 fantasy football performances from your usual performers, but some new and unfamiliar names appeared among the top.

Let’s check out the top NFL Week 2 fantasy football performances from Sunday across all positions. This week’s notable performers include regulars like Lamar Jackson, Tyreek Hill and Cooper Kupp, but even players such as Tua Tagovailoa and Amon-Ra St. Brown

Top Week 2 Fantasy Football QBs

Lamar Jackson Fantasy Stats

Stats: 72.4% completion percentage, 437 total yards, 4 total TDs

Fantasy Points: 42.6 (QB1)

There’s one word used to describe Lamar Jackson: electric. The Dolphins vs. Ravens game was easily the game of the week due to its high scoring and quarterback play. Jackson showed the Baltimore front office they should’ve paid him before the season started with this performance. Not only was he on fire throwing the ball, but he had a huge 75-yard rushing score, showcasing his blazing speed when in the open field.

The Lamar Jackson fantasy football outlook is high, as he has the ability to do this week in and week out and will surely finish inside the top five fantasy QBs.

Tua Tagovailoa Fantasy Stats

Stats: 72.0% completion percentage, 469 passing yards, 6 TDs

Fantasy Points: 38.86 (QB2)

On the other side of the ball in the Dolphins vs. Ravens game was Tua Tagovailoa. He had a monster performance, throwing six touchdowns, with four going to his top two speedy wide receivers, Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. Now that Tagovailoa has weapons around him, the Miami Dolphins offense will be electric and, in turn, produce monster fantasy numbers. The Baltimore Ravens defense was pretty banged up coming into the game, but you can’t downplay six passing touchdowns in a comeback win.

Top Week 2 Fantasy Football RBs

Nick Chubb Fantasy Stats

Stats: 17 carries, 3 receptions, 113 total yards, 3TDs

Fantasy Points: 32.3 (RB1)

We finally got to see the true Nick Chubb in his form, racking up touchdowns all over the place. Despite the Browns completely blowing their lead over the Jets, Chubb walked away with a dominant fantasy football performance, finding the end zone three times. With Jacoby Brissett at the helm, until Deshaun Watson returns from suspension, the Browns will lean heavily on their coveted run game and that starts with Chubb. Ironically if Chubb were to fall down in bounds before his third touchdown, the Browns would have been able to run out the clock and win. But hey, his fantasy managers will take it.

Aaron Jones Fantasy Stats

Stats: 15 carries, 3 receptions, 170 total yards, 2 TDs

Fantasy Points: 32.0 (RB2)

The Green Bay Packers looked nearly back to normal this time around, easily beating the Bears. Aaron Jones was on fire, registering both a rushing and receiving touchdown. From the beginning of the game, you could tell it was going to be a good game on the ground. A.J. Dillon also registered over 60 yards rushing, but Jones was clearly the better back, cementing himself as the top option in Green Bay until further notice. The poor wide receiver corps bodes well for Jones to pick up receptions, and Aaron Rodgers looked his way when it mattered.

Top Week 2 Fantasy Football WRs

Tyreek Hill Fantasy Stats

Stats: 11 receptions, 190 yards, 2 TDs

Fantasy Points: 42.0 (WR1)

Considering Tua Tagovailoa threw six touchdowns, one would imagine his receivers likely posted monster numbers as well. Hint: they did. Tyreek Hill fantasy football owners have been happy to find out it doesn’t matter who throws him the football. Hill is simply too fast for certain defenses and, with the Ravens’ secondary banged up, the backups couldn’t contain him.

Jaylen Waddle also posted insane fantasy numbers, but Hill led the charge in a big way. After failing to find the end zone last week, he found it twice, and both of them were huge sways in momentum. As long as Tua stays composed, Hill will be a fantasy cheat code.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Fantasy Stats

Stats: 9 receptions, 116 yards, 2 TDs

Fantasy Points: 39.4 (WR3)

Since entering the league, Amon-Ra St. Brown has been very impressive. He has continued his strong finish to last season with a strong start to this year. He is the third player in NFL history to record 8+ catches in eight straight games, joining Michael Thomas and Antonio Brown. His Week 2 fantasy football performance was nothing short of unstoppable, and it’s clear Jared Goff looks for him almost immediately every down. It was assumed T.J. Hockenson would be the go-to red zone target, but St. Brown in a 1-on-1 contested catch seems to be the Lions’ go-to as of now.

Top Week 2 Fantasy Football TEs

Mark Andrews Fantasy Stats

Stats: 9 receptions, 104 yards, 1 TD

Fantasy Points: 25.7 (TE1)

Along with Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews posted a very solid Week 2 fantasy football performance, especially from a tight end. His target share was very promising after a quiet Week 1, and he found the end zone this time. If the Ravens are in a close game, Jackson will have to pass and Andrews is arguably his top option in the passing game. Tight ends dwell in fantasy football hell because it’s tough to find consistency, but Andrews squashes that and that showed in this week’s total.

Tyler Higbee Fantasy Stats

Stats: 7 receptions, 71 yards

Fantasy Points: 14.1 (TE4)

It’s crazy that 14.1 fantasy points equal the TE4 of the week, but that just proves the inconsistency behind tight ends in fantasy football. Tyler Higbee failed to find the end zone for yet another week, but his target share and sheer volume are very intriguing and worth mentioning.

He has 20 targets across two weeks and the rest should come overtime as the Rams figure out what to do outside of throwing the ball to Cooper Kupp. Higbee is arguably the second option Matthew Stafford looks to in the passing game and that alone should intrigue fantasy managers.

Top Week 2 Fantasy Football D/ST and K

Jacksonville Jaguars DEF Fantasy Stats

Stats: 5 sacks, 3 INTs

Fantasy Points: 21.0

Graham Gano Fantasy Stats

Stats: 1 PAT Made, 4 FG Made

Fantasy Points: 13.0
